Part 13

A few weeks later

Angel's pov

"Mommy look they have the red balloons I want" micah said. Me, micah and odell were currently in party city buying decorations for micah's upcoming 3rd birthday party.

"I see. That was the last item on our list too" I told him. He smiled and went to take a closer look at the balloons.

I felt a pair of arms wrap around my waist. " thanks for letting me tag along with you guys" odell said.

After our dinner date on new years eve me and odell spent a lot of time together. He took me on countless dates each one more interesting than the last. He was also great with micah which was a big plus.

"No problem. Me and micah love hanging out with you" I told him.

"I love hanging out with you guys too babe" he said kissing my cheek.

On the drive home micah was knocked out. We spent most of the day at the mall getting everything for his party so I understood my munchkins exhaustion.

"So I was thinking.." odell trailed off.

"Thinking what?" I asked curiously.

"I want to ask you something but I don't want you to think I'm moving too fast" he said nervously.

My heart started beating rapidly. "What is it?" I asked.

"Well weve been seeing each other for some weeks now and they've been the best weeks of my life. Angel I know I haven't known you for that long but I have serious feelings for you. And I was wondering if I could introduce you to my family as my girl" he said.

I sat there stunned. Odell wanted me to officially be his girl? I was utterly speechless. "Say something your making me really nervous" he said.

"Odell are you sure this is what you want. I don't want you to regret it later on. Me and my child are a packaged deal are you sure your ready for that?" I asked him.

"I adore you and already consider micah like my own" he said placing his hand over mine.

"Okay odell. I'll give us a shot, but we have to take our time" I told him.

He brought my hand up to his face and kissed it." Of course baby. This is great I can't wait for you to meet my family. I just know my mom is gonna love you" he said happily.

"I hope so" I said staring out the window.

King's pov

I was currently at the bakery putting in a order for micah's cake. My big boy was turning 3 in a few days, time really does fly.
Me and angel decided to throw him a backyard party and invite all his little friends.

Me and angel hadn't decided where we want to have his party at. Right now its between my house and dad's house. But I'm leaning more towards my dads house because his backyard is huge and plus he has his own cooking staff which could come in handy.

After making the order and paying for the cake I headed home. On the drive home my mind wandered to angel, after that talk we had new years eve I decided to stop chasing after her. And so far
I've been doing good. I put most of my energy into parenting my three children so I haven't really thought about anything else.

When I arrived home I saw uncle robert sitting on my porch. After that whole situation with my mom I haven't spoken to him.
After parking my car I hop out and walk towards him.

"What are you doing here?" I said rudely.

"I want to talk to you about your mom" he said standing up.

Here we go again. Why couldn't he just leave me alone when it came to that woman." Look unc for the last time I have no interest in forgiving that woman so dont waste your time" I said.

"I'm not asking you to forgive her. I just want you to have a talk with her. Please king after all she is your kids grandmother" he said.

"Oh really? The same woman who had a problem that her grandson was biracial. Cut the bullshit unc me and you both know that woman has nothing but bad intentions " I tell him.

"I know and I set her straight about micah. She won't say something like that ever again" he said.

"I know. Because she'll never see my son or daughters in her life" I said.

"Please King she's my sister and your mother. I'm telling you she's a changed woman" uncle robert pleaded.

"Enough! Im not changing my mind. Stop fucking pushing this because it'll never happen. This is exactly why I dont bring the
Kids around you anymore. Because I can't trust that you won't bring that bitch around them " I said angrily.

Robert looked at me in disbelief. I walk pass him up to my door and open it. " if you can't respect my wishes then I'll have to cut you out of my life permanently" I said softly.

Not waiting for a response I walk in my house and slam the door.
