Part 18

Angel's pov

"Damn babe that's crazy. I hope king broke up with her" odell said shaking his head.

"I hope so too. I would hate to have to pay her a visit" I said.

Odell smirked " you know your pretty sexy when your being all aggressive" he said.

I laughed and hit his shoulder." Shut up. Your just trying to get more of this cookie" I said playfully.

"Nah I know you have to go to work. Besides I told the guys I would meet them by the beach to do some workouts" odell said.

I nod my head and peck his lips.

I was currently at work minding my business when king walked in. I stood up in surprise." What are you doing here?" I asked.

"You were right about saya. And I'm sorry for ever doubting micah's word" he said.

I gave him a faint smile." Its okay. Micah's not mad at you" I told him.

"I'm glad. I can't believe I actually doubted my son. What kind of parent am I?" He said sadly.

I squeezed his shoulder." Don't beat yourself up about it. No parent is perfect. You learn as you go along" I said.

King smiled." Even after all this time I still cant find a woman who compares to you " he said.

I was stunned by king's words. "Wow that's really sweet of you to say king" I saud shyly.

"Its the truth" he said moving closer.

"King what are you doing?" I said nervously.

"How serious are you and your boyfriend?" King asked.

Before I could answer his question my phone rang. I looked at the screen to see my mom calling.

"Hello?"

"Angel something terrible has happened" my mom cried.

"What is it? Is micah ok? I know you were picking him up today" I said frantically.

"Angel... micah's gone. Someone took him before I got here"

Odell's pov

I can't believe I let these air heads talk me into working out on the beach. Like seriously gyms were invented for a reason.

"Time for a break" victor announced.

I pulled a water out my bag and sat on the sand. As I drunk my water I looked around at the almost empty beach. Suddenly I heard a faint shrieking, I looked in the direction it was coming from and squinted my eyes.

Two figures were making their way to the water. A woman and a kid? I was too far to make out their faces. " odell isn't that saya? The crazy ex you were telling us about" victor said looking in the same direction.

Saya was the girl I dated before angel. I thought she was a real sweet girl until she started showing a vindictive side. She became jealous, overly possessive and straight up batshit crazy. After a month of dealing with all that I dumped her psychotic ass.

"Hey what is she doing?! She's holding that poor kid under the water!" Victor shouted.

Sure enough she was forcefully pushing the kid underwater. Refusing to stand by any longer I start to run their way. I ran as fast as i could, when I got a little closer I realized it was indeed saya and she was drowning micah!

"WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING STOP!" I yelled at the top of my lungs.

Saya gave me a startled look and paused. But that didn't stop me from knocking her ass out. After making sure she was restrained I pulled micah out of the water.

He wasn't moving or breathing. Oh god... please let this child live I'm begging you. I continued to pray as I proceeded to give him cpr.

Finally after a few minutes micah spit up some water and coughed." Thank god" I whispered.

"I want my mommy" micah sobbed.

I pulled him into a hug and rubbed his back. " I know buddy... I know"

Angel's pov

After frantically searching for an hour I got a call from odell saying he was at the hospital with micah.

When I got there I saw my munchkin laying on a bed with odell standing next to him. " oh my god what happened! Micah are you okay?" I semi yelled on the verge of tears.

"I'm ok. My throat hurts mommy" he said in a raspy voice.

I looked at odell for answers." It was saya. She tried to drown him at the beach. I was able to stop her just in time" he explained.

"That crazy bitch did what! I'm gonna kill that bitch!" I said angrily.

"Mommy bad word" micah said.

"Sorry baby" I said rubbing his curls.

"You don't have to worry about her. She's in custody for child endangerment and attempted murder" odell said.

"Thank god. At least something's going right today" I said.

After speaking with the doctors turns out micah would be okay but he might have a sore throat for a few days. They also recommended therapy because this was lableled as traumatic especially for a 3 year old.

I couldn't believe this I now had to raise a traumitized child. "Odell can you give me and king some alone time. We need to talk about a few things" I said.

"Sure babe. I'll be right outside" he said kissing my cheek.

As soon as we were alone I slapped king hard. I didn't need to worry about micah waking up since the doctors gave him something to sleep.

"I guess I deserve that. Angel I truly am sorry I had no idea saya would do something like this" he said.

I shook my head." Your always sorry about something king. Thanks to you our son is Now laying in a hospital bed probably traumitized for the rest of his life. All because you dated a woman who turned out to be a psychotic bitch!" I saud angrily.

"Angel I didn't know this would happened. I would never willlingly put my son in harms way" he said.

I rubbed my temple in agitation. " you know what king I think its best you just leave. I can't stand looking at your face right now" I said completely disgusted.

"But I want to be here for my son. I'm just as hurt as you are angel. Please don't shut me out" he said tearfully.

" you know I use to think being parent might help you finally break free of your past. But I was wrong... your just like your mother king. Corrupting innocence and leaving nothing but sadness, suffering and pain. Congratulations you just added another messed up child to the family. Are you proud of yourself?" I said coldly.

By the look on his face I could tell what I said hit him deep in his soul. " I'm sorry... for everything. I'll give you and micah the space you need.... goodbye angel" he said quietly.

I watched as he quickly left out the room. A few minutes later odell appeared. " I just saw king leaving out. Is everything okay?" He asked.

"No... but it will be"
