King's pov

A month later

"Daddy where's big brother. The party already started" quinn whined. It was the twin's birthday and me and my dad were throwing them a wizard of oz themed party.

Everyone had already showed up... except for angel and micah. I knew angel wasn't bringing micah to the party, she told me so herself.

She said micah was still recovering from everything that happened and wasn't in a party mood. I felt like shit when she told me that, my son didn't want anything to do with me.
Even though angel didn't say I knew it to be true.

And how can I blame him, I failed as a man and a father." Your brother is still sick. So he can't come" I told her.

Quinn stomped her foot and frowned." Your lying! You said that last month" she pouted.

"Quinn! Cut the attitude. go play with your sister or something" I said frustrated.

She sniffled and rubbed her eyes." I want mommy. Your so mean now daddy!" She yelled before running off.

Just great. Now my other child is mad at me." King are you feeling alright ? I've never seen you yell at one of the twins" Tracey said appearing out of nowhere.

I sighed as I ran my fingers through my hair." No im not. My ex tried to kill my son, angel wont let me see him and I'm just a shitty parent all the way around" I said feeling overwhelmed.

" I know things seem bad right now. But trust me they'll get better. Angel is just hurt right now, her child almost died so I can understand her pain. All you can do is be patient and wait for her to come around. So until then you should just concentrate on the two you still have because they need you king" he said.

he was right. I couldn't neglect the two kids I still had just because the other one was absent. " I guess your right. This is life right now and I just have to deal with it " I said.

Tracey smiled and patted my shoulder." That's the spirit. Now come on its almost time to cut the cake" he said preparing to leave .

"ill be there in a minute" I told him.

Even though things seem dark right now I know there will be light at the end. I just have to stay strong until it comes.
