Cas hugged a stack of pie boxes to his slightly round tummy as he left the kitchen. Cherry pie, apple pie, pumpkin pie. Pie. Sure it was Dean's pie and sure, he'd been stealing every single pie he could find in the bunker for days, but he was certain his boyfriend wouldn't mind...hopefully.

He was just beginning to walk back to his bedroom when Dean, his hair awry and his face red with frustration, burst into the bunker. "Cas!" he yelled. "Stop stealing all of my friggin' pie!"

Cas frowned. "I didn't think you'd be upset."

"Upset? Of course I'm upset, Cas! Every single day I go out and buy more pies and you take them all for yourself! You're not even asking! And you're getting flabby!"

"I just—"

"You can't keep stealing all my pie, you goddamned baby in a trench coat."

Cas was starting to get angry. It's just pie. He doesn't have a right to throw a tantrum. "Yes I can. Watch me."

"Son of a bitch," said Dean under his breath. "No, you can't, now give me back my pie! What the hell has gotten into you, Cas?"

That was it. Pressing his lips together and trying to hold back the tears stinging his eyes, Cas flung the stack of pies at Dean, sending jam and filling everywhere.

"I don't know, Dean, maybe it's because I'm pregnant!" Cas shouted.

Dean's face went as white as a sheet. Before he could say anything, Cas turned and hobbled out of the room, leaving his righteous man alone in the middle of the gooey, sticky mess.

Nearly an hour had gone by before Cas heard a knock at the door of his bedroom.

"Cas?" said Dean softly. He tried the handle but it was locked. "Cas, baby, please let me in."

Cas was curled up on his bed, his face buried in a pillow. "No."

"I'm so sorry, baby. I know you're mad, and you're right to be. I'm such an idiot. Please, Cas, just let me apologize."

A long moment went by. Finally Cas crawled out of bed and walked over, opening the door. Dean stood on the other side with tears in his beautiful green eyes. He was holding a stack of pies and a bouquet of white roses, Cas's favorite. Right away, he set them down on the nightstand and hugged Cas tight.

"I'm so sorry, Cas," he said into his angel's hair. "I was being a dick. I don't have an excuse. I'm so, so sorry."

Cas hugged the hunter back. "I-it's okay."

"I, I brought you lots of pie," said Dean with an uncertain smile. He bent down and gently touched Cas's stomach. "Why didn't you tell me?"

"I wanted it to be a surprise."

Dean bit his lip. "How exactly are you...?"

"I'm an angel, Dean," said Cas. "All angels reproduce in the same way. I suspect my vessel adapted to allow our daughter to grow."

Dean looked up with shining eyes. "W-we're having a girl?"

"Yes. A Nephilim."

Dean stood and hugged Cas again. "I promise," he whispered in a husky voice, "I will do everything I can to take care of you and our daughter. You're everything to me—you're my whole world. I love you Cas. So much."

Cas closed his eyes, resting his head in the crook of Dean's shoulder. "I love you too, Dean."
