"What are YOU doing here?" Jax snarled.
"You all need to stop." Lias snapped.
"What??" Jase growled.
"I'm not leaving your sister. You need to grow up and get over yourself. Our hatred towards each other isn't going to affect mine and Bryn's relationship." They all stood silently and listened to his outburst.
"I don't care what you say. You're still-" He cut Jax off.
"I'm still me. So what. It's not your choice. Get over it. Stop trying to control everyone and just deal with the fact that you aren't going to get your way." He stormed out with Bryn hot on his heels. The four of them stood there stunned.
Bryn's father knew he was right. They were way out of hand. Her brothers, on the other hand, were think-headed and refused to listen. They didn't care what he said. They wouldn't allow this to go on for much longer.
James, the only brother who seems to think, followed them out the door. "Wait." He spoke and made the two of them freeze.
"What do you want?" Lias growled.
"I don't care who you are or where you're from. The only thing that matters is my sister." Lias and Bryn stared at him in shock. James held his hand out to him and Lias shook it. "Now you don't go hurt her just because I'm lightening up on you. She's still my sister and we still will hurt you if anything happens to her."
Lias nodded his head and helped her into the car. He was still shocked. James if the biggest out of the three of them. He is close to six foot four. Almost his height. He was the only one Lias was somewhat weary of.
When James walked inside, his other two brothers were glaring at him. "Oh knock it off. Get over it." Then he stormed to his room. His brothers could act like such girls sometimes.
When Bryn got home from her date with Lias, which was amazing, she couldn't stop smiling. James stopped her right before she could make it into her room though. "Hey James." He smiled down at her. "What are you still doing up?"
"I was waiting for you to get home. Come with me real quick." He had her follow him to their backyard and towards their pool.
"James what are we-" Before Bryn could notice anything, James had his two hands on her shoulders and, with all his might, pushed her right into the deep end. When she surfaced, she say him bent over laughing with his hands on his knees. "James what the hell?!" This just made him laugh harder.
"I'm sorry. I-I just had to do-do that." He stood straight and wiped the tears from his eyes. Bryn just glared at him. "Hey. Don't glare at me. It's either that, or I stay mad at you for sneaking behind my back and dating Lias." She just rolled her eyes and climbed out of the pool.
"Speaking of which," She began to speak as she dried her hair, "how come you're so cool with all of this?" He just shrugged his shoulders.
"I just think it's stupid to hate someone. It's too much energy." This made Bryn smile. She knew James was lazy at heart. He didn't show it to many people. Her other brothers think laziness is weakness. 'Boys.' She thought as she rolled her eyes. "Don't you roll your eyes at me missy." He took off running after her as she took off inside.
"I thought you said you were lazy!" She called behind her.
"I am, but that's not going to stop me from beating you inside." She rolled her eyes again. She really did love her brother.
Monday morning was interesting. When Bryn got to the dining room to eat breakfast, James was the only one sitting there. She gave him a silent look and he just shrugged and continued to eat. The house was very quiet as the two of them got ready for school.
When they got there, almost the whole school was staring at Bryn. She knew it was because of Lias' speech at the football game. James just patted her head and messed up before taking off towards his locker before she could smack him. She finally found Jax and Jase, but they wouldn't even acknowledge her or James. They just kept on talking with their football friends. James rolled his eyes at their actions. Because they were being ridiculous, James sat with Bryn at lunch instead of Jax and Jase.
The rest of the day went by normally, except for the cold shoulder she was getting from both her brothers. James found her at the end of the day as soon as the last bell rang.
"We have practice today until five thirty. You probably shouldn't go today. They won't be in a good mood." She knew he was talking about her brothers. She just nodded and made her way to her car. Her phone started ringing as soon as she sat down and started the engine. It was Lias.
"Hello?" She asked with a smile.
"What are you doing right now?" She backed up out of the parking lot and started to drive home.
"I'm on my way home right now. Why what's up?" There was a pause.
"Meet me at the park." Then the line went dead.
