Chapter Fifteen

Raven's POV--
My mind races as I walk home from the meeting with Melrik. It just seems like too big of a coincidence with my dreams an what happened at the mansion.

I arrive home, and walk inside to find Lilly sitting at the table, colouring.

I lean over to see the picture that she drew of a girl sitting on a tree branch.

"Very good Lilly!" I say, patting her shoulder. "Want a snack?"

"Thanks, grill cheese?" She asks, distractedly. I laugh, and get the pan out.

It was fast, an easy to make an clean up, an soon I was sitting down beside Lilly.

I helped her squirt ketchup on her plate, then added some on my own.
We ate in silence, as she switched between colouring and eating multiple times.

"Any homework?" I ask, she hesitates then nods.

"Math..." she says quietly. I sigh.

"Why aren't you doing it then?" I ask, getting up to deal with out plates, then make some tea.

"Mom said I had to wait til you got home, Ravey.  I need help with math." She says quietly, I put the kettle on the stove.

"Go grab your math, and I'll help you." I say, smiling over at her. She nods, picking up her colouring books and headed upstairs. I sigh.

I take a bag of a tea called Chocolate Mint, and put some in a tea bag.

Lilly comes back into the kitchen with a armful of a book and papers. She sets down her booklets, her textbook, and some pencils with an easers on them.

"Can I have some Ravey?" Lilly asks, coming over to tug at the bottom of my shirt. I nod, laughing.

I get two cups, and make another tea bag as she sets up her math. I sit down to wait for the kettle.

I watch her flip through her booklets until the kettle goes, and then pour us our tea.

Finally, we sit together at the table to do some math.

"Okay, now what do you need help with first."
