Keep in mind that this is not one of the "My Life" poems. This poem is solely for the purpose of you guys getting to know what I'm really like.
So yeah.
-------<>--------
I have scars
On my arms and my ankle
Where a blade
Has put on shackles
And taken me away
From a world full of pain
To a place filled with numb
And a place sheltered again.
Sometimes I wonder
If I am any good
To the world at all
Or if I should just hide under a hood.
A web of lies
That's what I'm tangled in
Because a web full of lies
Is what I've spun for myself.
So please take into consideration
The fact I may be dead
Inside, not outside
Who knows? But I'm full of dread.
I'm not sure how long
I'll be staying in this world
Because I'm not sure how long
I can take the stress of the whirl.
My dark eyes
Cannot hold anymore tears
My dark hair
Cannot keep growing for years.
So now you know
What it's like to be me
When all I ever wanted
Was to be free.

I feel like.... this could be a "My Life" poem, but it could also be a stand alone poem?
I don't know.
