Kozume Kenma, the second year setter of Nekoma, was a renowned gamer. The pudding head can barely last a day without his gaming console. He is addicted to it, and according to his best friend, Kuroo Tetsurou, he said that Kenma considers video games as one of the most important elements in the planet.

The bed haired middle blocker wanted his friend to experience more in life, pushing the timid little setter away from his comfort zone by introducing new people to him. Everytime, he would shy away from each and everyone of them, but most especially to this girl named Kimberly Cruz.

Kenma feels something different whenever he is within the vicinity of the alluring girl. Unlike the feeling of wishing to avoid people, the black and yellow haired male wanted to be around her. Whenever the girl would wave and greet him, he becomes petrified, his vocal chords won't cooperate if he wanted to say something to her, so his entire body would respond by doing what he thinks is safe: he runs away so as to not embarrass himself in front of the beauty.

As the male volleyball players of Nekoma High gathered inside the gym, Kuroo notices that Kenma is quieter than usual, and his accurate sets become inaccurate as he watched him set to the spikers over and over again.

"Something is bothering this guy...", said the bed hair.

Yaku Morisuke, the team libero, nodded in affirmation.

"Good afternoon, everyone!"

The setter instantly blew a fuse. His cheeks turned strawberry red as he noticed the cheerful tone of the girl he secretly admires. He quickly averted his gaze, then squeezed a volleyball to distract himself.

"Yo. K-chan is here!", exclaimed Kuroo, as he put an arm around Kimberly's shoulder.

Kenma, at that moment, started seeing red. He felt the overwhelming urge to hit the middle blocker for some reason, and the reason was unclear.

Kimberly blushed in embarrassment, seemingly shocked by Kuroo's actions.

"Kenma-san, you're going to burst the volleyball!", the female exclaimed.

"I-It won't b-b-burst, K-Kimberly-san...", the setter stammered.

Kuroo started chuckling, much to everyone's surprise.

"I think I know what's wrong with Kenma." Kuroo declared as he turned to his perplexed friend.

Kimberly quickly put the back of her palm on Kenma's forehead, thinking that he is most likely ill or something.

"Kenma-san, do you feel sick?", she asked with a concerned tone.

"No," came the setter's soft reply.

The girl smiled in relief, flustering the pudding head in front of her. Kuroo laughed in amusement, finally deciphering the mystery behind Kenma's weird attitude.

Practice ended quickly, and it was finally time to go home. Everyone's whines of irritation and anger filled the air as they were all greeted by drops of rain pouring from dark nimbostratus clouds.

"Just our luck." Taketora murmured.

Just then, Kenma fetched an umbrella he hid in the locker room. He approached Kimberly, then put the umbrella above her head while trying to hide his visible blush and walked away with her.

The entire volleyball team had their jaws dropped as they watched the two leave the school.

"When the actual hell did Kenma become comfortable with someone else?!", yelled Taketora.

No one was able to answer his question.

'Score..I finally found the courage to make my move...', Kenma thought triumphantly to himself.

A game is played according by rules, and decided by skill, strength and luck.

Kenma's eyes expressed victory as he made his first move to impress his crush. He walked her home, earning a grateful kiss from the female.

'I'm so lucky!', the pudding head happily thought.

Kenma went home with a grin pasted on his face. He then called Kuroo to help him with something he thought he can never do.

That night, as Kimberly was doing hee assignment on Contemporary Literature, her eyes widened when she heard the sound of... a guitar playing and... singing?

"I thought that I had the world on the end of a string
I thought that I was a millionaire
Free as the dawn and then came the morning
I turned and I saw you there..."

Kimberly's mouth quickly went agape in surprise. Kuroo was strumming away while Kenma sang. "Kenma-san?!"

"And you smiled and you smiled
With laughter in your eyes
And you smiled and you smiled
And I was captured
Don't you know?
I'd like to stay
Now I've got something worth talking about
And you smiled and you smiled
And I was captured
And you smiled and you smiled
I was a fool not to see before
My life was empty until your love showed me
The things I've been looking for..."

Kimberly's face quickly erupted with a hundred shades of crimson.

"And you smiled and you smiled
With laughter in your eyes the world seemed to fade away
Girl I'm so crazy about you
I know I can't live without you
Once I would run when somebody said wouldn't I like to settle down?
I didn't care now I'm up in the air with my head really in the clouds.."

A smile made its way to the face of the girl.

"And you smiled and you smiled
With laughter in your eyes and the world seemed to fade away
And you smiled and I was captured, don't you know
And you smiled and you smiled
With laughter in your eyes and the world seemed to fade away
And you smiled and you smiled and I was captured
Don't you know?
Don't you know?
I'd like to stay.."

"Kenma-san!!", exclaimed a delighted Kimberly.

"I hope... I have... a chance with you, Kimberly!", Kenma spoke as he furiously blushed.

"You have a chance, Kenma-san!", the female replied with joyful tears in her eyes.

Kuroo smacked his friend in excitement. "You had won the game of love!"

Just then, Kimberly went outside and hugged the pudding head who almost fainted with sheer bliss, earning a laugh from the middle blocker who was holding the guitar in his Spartan hands.
