a/n: listen to talk me down while you read
A tear slipped down Troye's face as he reached a picture of him and his new boyfriend. They both looked happy; something that Troye clearly lacked.
A light knock interrupted his sobbing session.
"Troye? Are you okay?" Sage entered the room before Troye could shoo her away. "Oh, dear. Do you want-" Sage tried to offer him affection.
"Leave! Me! Alone!" Troye screamed. Hurt was prominent on Sage's face, but she turned away and left, closing the door on her way. Troye continued to scream into his pillow, soaking it with his tears. Eventually he fell asleep, but the sound of a twitter notification woke him up.
@connorfranta: love youuu @tyleroakley 💙
Troye checked his phone and immediately threw it across the room.
"Why Connor?" He whispered, tears threatening to spill once again. He pulled on a random white t-shirt and his black converse before quickly, yet quietly escaping out of his house.
He needed to escape; the tiny amount of privacy was driving him wild. He didn't take his car, public transport, anything. He walked, enjoying the simplicity of the small suburb.
Like Connor used to do.
The wind was light, and the stars were twinkling as Troye walked on the highway, ignoring the cars that were honking their horns at him. The stars flickered their bright lights at him, making him feel more at ease.
Once he reached a peaceful cliff that overlapped the ocean, he stopped and sat at the edge.
"Why can't life be easy?" Troye began to tear up, the moon almost glistening at him teasingly. A few tears fell, and plopped into the ocean. Waves crashed against the rocky cliff.
Troye stood up to leave, when his legs failed him.
He collapsed, gravity letting him fall into his, what he thought to be, death.
A strong hand took hold of his pale thin one. Troye opened his firmly shut eyes, and looked up. A pair of forest green eyes were twinking down at him.
A familiar pair of green eyes.
"Troye, oh my fucking god," Connor Fucking Franta sobbed.
"C-Con?"
"Shhh, my dear. You're safe."
Connor hauled his delicate body up, causing Troye to scrape his arm. He winced as the rocks dragged themselves across his skin.
"Troye.." Connor set down the frail boy over his jacket that he laid on the hard ground.
"W-W-Why did you come here?" Troye managed to sputter. Connor gave him a sad smile.
"I missed you. This is where we came for our first date, remember?" Connor's eyes shimmered with tears.
"Of course, I remember." Troye's anxiety kept him from meeting Connor's eyes.
"W-Where's Tyler?" Troye asked, coldness wrapped around his tone. Connor's spine tingled with guilt.
"I don't care. All I want is you," He stated. Troye's breath was almost knocked out of him at that. Tears falling, he lunged at Connor, tackling him in a big hug which Connor returned lovingly. They cried into each other, their tears dampening each other's shirts.
"Oh god, Connor, I missed you so much," Troye cried.
"I love you."
Those words sent a warm blush to Troye's cheeks.
"I lov-"
Oh my heart hurts so good, I love you babe - so bad, so bad.
Troye's alarm blared in his ears.
"Connor?" He called, cuddling a pillow. Then it hit him.
It was simply a dream.
