one of the scariest things you experience is telling your crush about your feelings. sometimes it goes well and they like you back, or sometimes they just completely reject you, and there's a sudden drop of ur heart, and it shatters like glass. and your crush leaves, without even bothering to pick up the pieces.
troye sivan was a little scrawny freshman that he was in love with connor franta, a junior who was a popular asshole. troye's eyes were never seen looking elsewhere; they were always glued to connor. connor never really noticed, and if he did, he didn't seem to care. yes, he was gay, but again, he was too much of an asshole to even have a second thought about someone's feelings.
the gloomy clouds hung over the school as students rushed to class, not because they were eager to learn, mainly because rain was beginning to bucket down. connor was sitting in the empty bathrooms, pleading his panic attack to stop, when a soft tap was felt on his bicep. he turned to see what it was, but his vision was far too blurred.
"excuse me, are you alright? breathe in four, breathe out four," the person instructed, rubbing connor's back. once his vision cleared up and his breathing was fine, he was surprised to see troye sitting next to him.
"shit, y-you-"
"it's alright, i struggle with them too."
connor stared blankly at him, before clearing his throat. "well, we should be going to class now."
"w-w-wait! can i tell you something?" troye stuttered.
connor sighed. "i don't know, can you?" he smartly remarked. troye rolled his eyes.
"i-i really like you, connor."
connor was extremely tempted to laugh.
'pathetic..' he thought.
"well sucks to be you."
after those words had been spoken, connor left, leaving troye to cry by himself.
