It's my birthday. And I've got this whole thing mapped out.

This day's gonna start off nice and normal. I'll eat my special breakfast, Momma'll make me my (perfect) birthday cake, and then we'll all go to the backyard--me, Missy, Samson, Poppa, and Momma ^oh, yeah and Samson's turtle^--and have my birthday party. We'll dance in our ocean (we live in front of an ocean by the way. It's only a two minute walk down from the picnic table behind the house. I've always loved it; we all have) and I'll open my presents at the picnic table. We'll go back inside and nothing will happen. I'll go to go to bed and nothing will happen.

Okay, maybe that's just what I want to happen. But you really couldn't rat on me for trying with the clear sunny day trying to convince me that nothing today'll change will stop its shining. That is, except maybe for Samson's turtle going missing.

He woke me up this morning searching under my pillow. When he saw my eyes open, he moved his eyes in a way that asked, "Are you OK?" I'd nodded and said, "Yeah, I'm alright," Then as he stepped away I took a deep breath and fell back in the bed and muttered, "for now."

He must've heard me 'cause he turned around right after I said it. And maybe I was still dreaming from being shaken awake, but I thought he said something like, "You always have a choice, y'know, Fish." And then he ran off.

Now it's my empty room, and my protesting stomach telling me to get out of bed. Off to breakfast. Off to disaster.

My new year's resolution is to update when I say I will, 'cause you all deserve better than that. I updated this super late o.o But I'll make up for it tomorrow—when I update for reals this time😄
