Today could have been any other Thursday, it started out completely normal. I got up at 6am, showered, pulled my chestnut hair out of my green eyes, put on a little gloss, and headed to work. I ate lunch by myself, as I often did, and went back to my office to work on a few tasks. It had been a completely uneventful day, just like all the other days in my life.

As I pulled into my driveway, I thought of all the things I had awaiting me inside the house. I was planning out the night ahead in order of importance. I was starving, and I was really looking forward to some left over baked ziti I had in the fridge, but first things first I wanted to take off my shoes and relax.

I walked into my apartment, and heard loud music playing, My roomate, and best friend Celeste, was obviously getting ready to head out for the night. Celeste was absolutly gorgeous, and had legs that went on for days. Her amazing blue eyes sparkled against her ebony skin, and her hair was super short but complimented her skin with just a hint of a cinnamon red. She heard me come in, because I heard her music lower in volume. I had just flopped down onto our black leather sofa, when I saw her beautiful face pop out of her door.

" Cameron! Girl, I know you are not about to let me go out by myself tonight." Celeste was walking towards me, giving me a sad puppy dog look. I had know her since we were 7, we had been neighbors growing up, and she knew she could get me to do anything with that look. Damn her and that look.

" No, Cel, I just got home and I am tired. Besides, you know I don't drink, and I really hate going to bars. It is to loud, and you always ditch me when you find a cute guy. " Celeste had joined me on the couch, she placed her hands on top of mine. She gave me the puppy look again, and I let out a sigh. " Ok, I will go, but I am gonna drag you out of there by 11pm, I have to work in the morning." Celeste wrapped her arms around me in a huge hug.

" Oh girl, I new you couldn't say no. I gotta finish getting ready, and," She looked me up and down, and began to point at me," You gotta do something with this situation. Give me a few minutes and I will lend you my fashion expertise." She practically ran to her bedroom, and emerged a few minutes later in a really short black mini skirt, and a turquoise tank top. I whistled at her, and she curtsied. We laughed together, and she pulled me off the couch to my feet.

We entered my room, and she walked to my closet. She began ripping through all my clothes, and after a few minutes, she left frustrated, walking into her room. She came back in my room with a pile of clothes, and dropped them all on my bed. She was talking to herself, and then began throwing outfits at me. After about 20 minutes Celeste was satisfied with my outfit, and I took a final look in the mirror. She had me in a red scoop neck blouse, and skin tight black mini skirt. I felt completely uncomfortable, but it was only one night.

Celeste grabbed my arm, and drug me out to the living room, She was looking me up and down, and when she was finally satisfied, she smiled and winked. She grabbed her purse and she led me to her car.I kept grabbing at the skirt, and fidgeting. I let out a sigh, as I wished I had just stayed home.

" Please stop fidgeting. You look fantastic, so just calm down. You never know, tonight may be the night you meet Mr. Right. You haven't been out since you and, whatever his name was." She laughed to herself, but I shifted my weight in my seat, showing my annoyance.

" His name was Brad, and I know I haven't been out. I am tired of searching for someone, that doesn't exist. I have decided he isn't out there, so why bother." Brad and I had split up a few months before. He wasn't the right guy for me, and there was no chemistry at all. I needed to be able to look into a man's eyes and feel something, all I felt for Brad was lust, and after the first few months, that wasn't enough.
