After taking my leave of Cameron, I made my way out of her room as silently as I had entered. As I left her apartment, I gave the building one last look, letting out the breath I had been holding. I was still having a hard time wrapping my head around what had just happened. Had I really just met my soul mate. I decided that I needed to get back to my office, Sirus had written a few pages of things he had foreseen, and I needed to make sure that I remembered his words correctly.

I walked at a normal pace to the museum, taking in the different sights, and sounds of the city. I hadn't left the museum, or my office really in over a month. Samuel had returned, with information that Bragden was growing stronger. Samuel feared that the Diamtri were increasing in numbers, and that they were starting to move to obliterate other tribes. He suspected that there had been a traitor amongst them, giving away their positions at every turn. Samuel, despite all his military training, was not able to figure out who it was.

My thoughts began to drift to the last few weeks, and I was growing more and more uneasy. I thought back to the night the Diamtri attacked. I had not seen one of these creatures in a century, but I knew what it was the second my eyes were upon it. It's dark red, leathery skin, was stained with blood. Talia was dragging it into the building by a hoofed foot, the devilish looking creature was unconscious .She was sporting two fang marks in her neck, staining her front with bright crimson blood.

She came into the building yelling wildly that the beast had tried to feast upon her. Luckily my people heal quickly, so the marks on her neck would have no lasting marks. She was completely belligerent, screaming that the beast should be skinned, and sent back to Bragden as a message. Samuel agreed, but I thought it would be better to speak to it. I was never much of a warrior, and I really wanted to see what it would tell me.

It took a very long while to convince my brother to see things my way, but he conceded and allowed me to place the creature in one of the spare rooms. We used an old pair of chains, from an outdated exhibit, and placed ruin stones around the beast. Our resident prophet, Nicodemus, said a few spells to keep the creature in the room. Talia had not given up on the idea of killing it, and berated my brother every minute of everyday to let her.

I spent everyday with the beast in the begginning, trying to see if I could gather any information. I brought it food and drink, and tried to talk with it, but it refused to show any cooperetion. Talia, tired of waiting for my tactics to work, convinced Samuel to let her torture it. She thought that the beast would be more likely to spill his guts, if he was literally spilling his guts.

I did not agree with her tactics, so I removed myself, and stayed closed up in my office. Taylor would come by every few hours, just to check on me. He was a good lad, he was nearly 75 and was still a boy. He had been born into our race after we had been scattered, and I was lucky I found him when I did. He, the son of two warriors, was left in a temple back in my realm.Nicodemus and I had found him after we had sent Sirus away to the states. We tried to raise him as best we could, but he was head strong and a warrior at heart.

Bringing my thoughts back to the present, I found that I hade successfully made it to the museum. I unlocked the front door, and headed towards my office. I heard a sound in the opposite direction, and I turned my attention to listen. I heard the sound a second time, and decided I needed to find the sorce. I began to walk towards the all to familiar door, knowing at last the sound in my ears.

I turned the door knob, and walked into the room. Talia was standing in front of the beast, brandishing a knife in her hand. The smell of blood was heavy, and she was breathing very heavy. I stepped forward, and the sound of my steps startled Talia, because the next thing I knew the knife was against my throat.
