I took my leave of Cameron, on my way to find Arguston, and smiled to myself. She was truly who Sirus had said she would be, and I couldn't believe the power she possed. She had amazing control, and she was going to be a very fast learner. I never would have believed that I had only know her for a week. I found myself more in love with her now than before, and I was so happy to have found her.
I found Arguston outside of his hut, sitting on a mat made from leaves. He was a brillian prophet, and had worked alongside of Sirus, and my mother would have been glad to know he was alive. I knew he could help me train Cameron, but I also knew he would want to tap my memories, to make sure she was truly who the prophecy spoke of. As I approached him, he shifted, and I met his gaze. His eyes were green, as were most prophets, and his hair was a brilliant white. He wore it down in tangles around his face, it was unkept, and dirty. His white beard was much along the same lines, and could use a trim.
" Nat my boy, please sit, tell me how does this day find you?" He had geabbed my arm and tugged me down to his level. He was very old, and I knew from my readings he was around before Nadia's life span, but as I looked in his face I could see the distinct lines of age. He studied my eyes, as I studied his face, and a smile erupted from us both.
"Arguston, dear friend, this day finds me well. I need your help with something important." He looked at me, and a big smile was upon his face.I took this as a sign he was willing to assist me. " My mate has just come into her powers and she requires training. She is from Sirus's lineage, and he foretold she would have imense power." I was waiting for his reaction, but he said nothing, just stared at me. He twisted his lips in thought, and took in a breath.
" Nat, I will assist you in this venture, but first, I need to know how well you trust this woman. I know of your prophecy from Sirus, and I need to be certain that this woman is she of whom he spoke. I know you feel for her, but if she is not the one then her training can not be." Arguston was searching my eyes for a reaction. I shook my head, and placed my hand upon his shoulder.
" I agree to what must be done for you to trust my bride. If we could please go inside, I have only ever read about this spell, and I am not completely sure how I will re act." I was standing now, waiting for Arguston to follow me inside. He stood, and placed his hand on my shoulder, leading me through the small door.
I sat upon the small bed, on the right side of the room, preparing myself for what was to come. I had transferred my thoughts to Cameron once, placing her basically inside my head, but what Arguston was planning to do was nothing I had ever thought to attempt. He was planning to perform a spell that took him back into my thoughts as myself, basically reliving moments, and feeling things the way I had felt them. He would meld himself with me, making us as one for a short time.
I was very nervous, but I knew he needed to do this, or he would refuse to help me. He had to be one with me, to feel the spark, and see all that I had seen. He wouldn't need to do it for long, just the first few days we were together, but it made me uneasy. I didn't know how it would feel, and I felt for the first time in a long time the fear I had been raised to hide.
" Nat, this spell will take us back to the first night you met this woman, I will feel everything with you, nothing can be changed. It will be as if you were reliving the moments again, up to the point I have seen enough. I will see everything as you did, feel as you did, I will know everything as you do. Nothing will be hidden from me." He moved towards me and placed his hands on my head.
" I must explain that it will seem to you as just a memory, however there will be no stopping until I have seen all that I wish. If you wish me to help you I must know all your secrets, included those converstions held in closed doors. I will take my leave from you, only when I have relived the first few days of your time with this woman, and no sooner. It will be as if I am you, and I will know everything." He put special inflection on everything. I had a feeling he would have alot of questions after this was all over, and I would have to have answers.
