Just Some Time: Chapter 24

--------------------

                                                                     - Juliet's POV -

'Ford. Ford. Anyone. Anyone. Ford." I grinded my teeth furiously. Closing my eyes, I continued to listen as Mr. Baxter droned on and on about something I had no idea about it; that no one had any idea about. "Anyone? Anyone." We all stayed quiet watching the clock above his head impatiently.

I never liked History.

"Anyone?" His boring flat voice ranged out.

No one gives a fucking fly!

"Ah, Miss Jensen...thank you for volunteering." He called me up. All eyes turned to me; some filled with sympathy on me being picked, others filled with amusement on the fact that it was me that was called on and not them. "Ford."

"What?"

"Ford. Can you tell us something about Ford?" He raised a brow.

"Um...I-it's a car." Snickers filled the room as Mr. Baxter stared at me with a blank face.

I was sweating rather a lot at that moment. Something never like this happens to me. If I was picked on, I always knew the answer, and the only time I ever was picked on is when I raised my hand, myself. I had many things on my mind, and History just wasn't my favorite. Even without Romeo, I seem to always get myself in trouble.

"No, Ford is a person. I'm very disappointed." Pushing his glasses up back his nose, he looked back up around the class, looking for his next prey.

Is he sure that Ford is not a car? Because I see him driving in one everyday to school.

I sighed in relief, glad that the attention was off me and was now on Sebastian, who I didn't know was in my class until half way through the class.

"Ford, as in Henry Ford, was an American industrialist, who developed and manufactured the first automobile made affordable to the middle class." Sebastian replied monotonously. We all stared at him in surprise, causing him to roll his eyes in annoyance. "What?" He snapped. People diverted the eyes quickly away, except mine. He caught my stare and sent me a smirk, before mouthing, 'I'm smarter than you.'

I huffed, turning my back to him as Baxter rambled on about how accurate and smart Sebastian was. Luckily, the bell rang just as he was about to continue. I rushed out of the room with Sebastian hot on my trail.

"Hey, I found someone who might know where Romeo is, if you want to come, I'll take you." He said as we stopped by my locker.

"Perfect." I shoved my things into my locker, before catching James's eye from across the hall. He walked up, stopping a good feet away from me.

"J-Juliet. We need to talk."

"Please not now James." I looked over my shoulder to ask Sebastian to give us privacy, but he was already gone, trying to get an irritated Zeena to hold his hand. "James, it's been three days. Why are you ignoring me?"

"I'm sorry baby, I really am. It's just that I'm packing my football things and getting ready for the camp. And...", he hesitated," Louise just wont leave me alone. I've barely gotten any sleep because of her." Taking a better look at him, you could tell he was telling the truth. He looked absolutely exhausted. "Fuck, the camp is in like a week, and I need to spend as much time with you as possible. I have camp, you have Ms. Tan's wedding to help with."
