Eight

That morning I wake up groggy and tired.Ali knocks on my door and then comes in even though I didn't answer her."Merida is going to the shops to sell some of her paintings.That means we have awhile to explore."I smile,still lying in bed.I lift myself up and say"Explore?"Ali then smiles and runs out of the room.I hear her thumping up the stairs and then opening and shutting her door.

I jump out of bed and brush down my silvery hair sticking up everywhere.I put on some short jean shorts and a black tank top.Over that I put on my lacy sweater thing that goes past my shorts and to my knees.I slip on some converses and run out of my bedroom and out the front door.Ali is there waiting for me with Leo.She hands me his leash and we start down the sidewalk.

"So you remember the place they had took you?"Ali asks me.I don't even have to answer.She knows I do.I'm excellent at mapping things out.Like the maze, I mapped out the direct route to the building where they had took me.

After ages of walking I get the feeling again we're being followed.I continue walking but lean over to Ali and whisper in her ear"Someone is following us.Act natural.Continue walking but let's change the destination.You walk to the hedge garden.Ill take a different route."I lean away from her and she nods slightly.I hand her Leo's leash and she continues going straight while I take a left.I still have the feeling so they must've decided to follow me,not Ali.I turn the corner and get ready for the person.I draw energy from who knows where and the lightning forms in my hand.Just as I raise my hands the person round the corner.

I throw my hands down but the person taps me on the head and I don't pass out but I do fall.Turns out the person was Corey but I still don't trust him.He catches me before I hit the ground and he holds me in his arms."Sorry but you might feel a little lightheaded for a while.Couldn't have you electrocuting me."He leans me against the wall and holds my shoulder so I don't fall."You know you're a real-"I start to say but then I'm cut off by Ali."Jay?"She says.I hold up a thums-up to her and then I start to slip down the wall.Corey grabs me and holds me."Why were you following me?"I say pushing him away and then leaning on the wall again."How did you know I was following you in the first place?"He asks.I roll my eyes."Can you stop answering my questions with questions?"I say narrowing my eyes at him."I don't know,can I?"I can't help but smile at that one.

"My mother and aunt are planning something to make you choose a side.So just choose one before they can go on with the plan."He says.Ali comes over to me and helps me stand."Oh ok.How about...neither!Do you people not know what that word means or what?"Ali pulls me along as we walk in the direction of the hedge garden.I see where she's going with this.Shes a smart little devil.
