Ice Queen of Tennis

Rikkaidai

Ryuu pov:

After doing some research, I found some schools that are worthy to visit. One being Rikkaidai. I have informed the principal that I will be visiting today and he knows who I am. I'll probably just be visiting the tennis grounds so I brought my bag with me and wore comfortable clothes.

I hope the bus ride will be quiet. Wait...more people are getting on....and they are...tennis players? Maybe the Rikkaidai regulars.

One person is staring at me like I'm some kind of foreigner. On the contrary, I am technically from America so I guess I am a foreigner.

I just decide to ask him, "Is there something wrong?"

He made a surprised face and replied, "N-no-nothing's wrong."

...okaaaay then....

"My name's Marui Bunta. Nice to meet you."

"My name's Echizen Ryuu. Nice to meet you too."

"You have a tennis bag. Do you play?"

"Yeah. Are you in a team?"

"Yup. Im one of the Rikkaidai tennis regulars. Do you want to meet the others?"

"I guess so..." Aaaand he just grabs me and takes me to the group of tennis regulars.

"Minna~~ I want you to meet someone."

After catching my balance, I politely bow and introduce myself, "It's nice to meet you. My name is Echizen Ryuu." I can see the person with the cap nodding in acceptance. The person with the headband is just looking at me. Somehow he reminds me of Fuji-san...

"So all of you are in the tennis regular team of Rikkaidai?"

The seaweed-head person answered me, "Yep. My name is Kirihara Akaya. Are you here to visit Rikkaidai?"

"Mhm~ I wanna try and see how good the tennis team is."

"You better not underestimate us." For a second I saw his eyes flicker red and the tips of his hair turned white. Is this what I think it is? If it is then it'll be interesting to check out his skills.

At Rikkaidai tennis courts:

There are so many people practicing here. Are they all members of the team?

I turn to the regulars. "They don't seem to have that much potential."

With that comment, everybody and I mean EVERYBODY was staring at me like I was a criminal.

"You're underestimating us."

"I bet you can't even do as much practice as we do."

"You're just a girl. How will you know anything?"

That did it. I am officially mad.

I stare back with cold eyes. The people in the tennis courts must be feeling the cold by now.

"Oh? Are you all confident that you can beat me in a tennis match? Just because I am a girl? Well lemme tell you something." By now, everybody is shivering with the cold. "You. Are. Terribly. Mistaken." Everybody is ice cold now. "How about we have a match to find out, eh? Since you are all so confident." The ice is broken. "So who will go against me?"

Kirihara Akaya. The seaweed-head. He made a big mistake deciding to go against me.

I took out my famous icy blue raquet and tied my hair up. Echizen Ryuu is gone. Only the Ice Queen stands right now.
