Ryuu pov:
With my raquet in my right hand, I turned back to Yukimura-san and Sanada-san. "Would it be alright if we have a match?" They agreed to it mostly because Yukimura-san wanted to see where this would go.
I went to the nearest tennis court that was empty. Kirihara-san on the opposite side of me. We waited for the referee to get ready.
I asked Kirihara-san, "Smooth or rough?"
"Rough."
I spun my raquet. It landed on.....smooth. My serve.
I got ready to do the same serve I did against Ryo-nii in Seigaku. The Hailstorm Serve. However, I will go on Royal Mode so the speed and power will be on a whole new level.
Let's try the easiest Royal Mode Level 1. I throw the ball up. It spins in the air and freezes as it touches my raquet. A second later, it goes flying to the other side at a higher speed than last time.
The ball got stuck in the fence. "Tch. I've gotten a bit rusty."
Everybody is staring at me because of what I did and said. I inwardly smirk because they don't know that this is just the beginning.
"Excuse me. Referee-san, you didn't make the call yet."
"Ah.. 15-love."
I continuously serve the Hailstorm Serve. Kirihara-san makes many attempts to receive the serve, but fails. Already I can see his eye color turning slightly reddish and his hair turning white-ish. I want to bring out Bloodshot Mode from him.
After 2 minutes or so, "4 games to love. Switch courts. Kirihara to serve."
By now, Kirihara-san is in Bloodshot Mode. Need to watch out for any crucial hits.
Kirihara-san gets ready to serve in a strange way. He's crumpling the tennis ball--wait...that's the Knuckle Serve! This is getting interesting.
Kirihara-san serves the ball. It came flying at my right arm. It almost hit until I used Ice Zone to slow down the ball and hit it back. (AN: Ice Zone is pretty much like Tezuka Zone. Except for the fact that it actually makes the tennis balls look like they froze in the air instead of moving it.)
If I get hit by any of those shots, Ryo-nii will kill Kirihara-san so I should be careful....
Marui pov:
I really feel like I've seen her somewhere. The way she plays is really familiar. Hmm...
Ryuu pov:
After 4 minutes of dodging and receiving the Kunckle Serves and using my Hailstorm Serve, the end was almost near. I haven't let Kirihara-san take any points or games.
Maybe for the last serve I should change things up a bit.
I get ready to receive Kirihara-san's last serve. As expected it's a strong serve, but it's not strong enough. I use Ice Mode to freeze the ball and get ready to receive. I use one of my counter moves, Blizzard Judgement. This counter depends on the strength of the opponent's shot and doubles the speed. This time, instead of the ball getting stuck to the fence, it broke through. Kirihara-san looks as though he became frozen.
The referee announces with a shocked face, "G-game and match Echizen. 6 games to love."
I stare back at the increasing amount of people around the tennis court with cold eyes, "Now you know that I am not a weak girl. So don't EVER underestimate what I can do because that wasn't even 10% of my full strength."
With that said, the Ice Queen has been dissmissed and Echizen Ryuu is back. I walk up to Kirihara-san to ask him, "Are you okay?"
He just stares at me in disbelief. Welp that's why you shouldn't underestimate me.
I can see Yukimura-san walking towards us with a strange smile.
"That was an interesting match, Echizen."
"Please, just call me Ryuu and it was pretty fun to play against one of your members."
"Will you join us as we go towards our 3rd national win since you defeated one of our regulars?"
"I've heard about your rules about never losing. I would like to try joining your team, but I have one question for you all."
"Please, ask us whatever question you have in mind."
"Is tennis fun for you all right now?"
The regulars don't seem to have anything to say. They are a strong team, but right now they only think about winning.
"Is guess I'll take my leave then. Good bye." I leave the speechless regulars after politely bowing. Now then, on to the next school.
