Danique woke up with the feeling of panic just dancing around in her whole body. She was in the girls dormitory, in her bed, with Emily hovering over her. The blonde haired girl looked rather worried, she almost looked frightened. Even though she could see all of that, it was like the information didn't reach her brain. It was very clear that she was safe where she was, no one there wanted to see her hurt. In Danique's perspective it was way different, which was shown as the girl continued to hysterically cry and kick and punch in self-defense, so that nobody could get close to her without getting somewhat hurt in the process.

"Get away from me, you ruthless monster! Please, no! Please!" The terrified girl screamed as she kicked and punched to get away from something that clearly the other girls in the dormitory couldn't see. To them it was pretty clear that Danique was fighting something from her imagination. The poor girl was suffering from night terrors, her mind was playing a trick on her.

"Danique, please honey, there's no one here!" Emily cried out, it hurt to see her friend like this. After all she had been aware of the fact that Danique had been having a hard time, she was struggling with herself. Emily didn't know what it was about but she understood that it had to be quite serious. It hurt her, knowing Danique had ended up in this state all because she was carrying on it by herself.

The sentence didn't have any affect on Danique as she sat on the bed, slightly swaying back and forth with her hands over her ears. The tears just streamed down her already wet cheeks.

McGonagall came into the girls dormitory with hurried steps, only to have Emmy Smith hot on her heels. Emmy was she one who had run to get McGonagall when she had realized that something wasn't right.

"All of you need to get out of here, right now." McGonagall ordered immediately after she had had a look at the girl who was sitting on her bed crying hysterically, obviously being in another state of mind. She sent a reasuring gaze towards Emily who probably looked as hopeless as she felt. "She will be alright, dear. You go calm down as well." She said as she sat down beside Danique.

Down in the common room Fred and George stood along with some other curious boys. It was safe to say that there had been quite the life up in the girls' dormitory. Fred and George had been sitting in the common room planning some new pranks, it was the best time to be left alone early in the mornings. Which left them to their skilled planning without interruptions. Fred had been mid-sentence when they first heard the faint screams. That had been a little over 15 minutes ago, since it had started two more boys had joined them, curious about the screams. Was someone hurt or was that girls just being girls? They didn't know, but they did know that something was very wrong when, all of a sudden, McGonagall came running with her night wear still on, her hair a little messy on one side.

Short after that girls started to gather around in the common room. Fred and George shot up from the sofa they had been sitting in when Emily came down the stairs in her pyjamas, sobbing in her hands. Both of the twins quickly noticed that Danique were the only girl missing.

"Hey, are you alright?" Fred asked as he put his hands on her shoulders. "What happened?" George asked. Emily looked up at the two of them, tears running down her cheeks. "I couldn't do anything! She wouldn't even let me come close! I feel so sorry for her, she was so scared and I couldn't do anything but watch!" Emily sobbed. Fred and George exchanged glances with raised eyebrows before Fred embraced the crying girl in a warming hug. To them it was pretty clear that she was speaking about Danqiue since she was the only one missing.

It took a little while before Emily calmed down from all of her sobbing, only to leave her with hiccups. It was not often the twins would see Emily crying, not even after knowing her since their first year. Emily would usually be very strong, or at least pretend she was. This caused the twins to believe that whatever had been going up in that dormitory, had been quite serious since it had caused Emily to end up in that state. "This is about Danique, isn't it?" George asked carefully, not wanting to send her into tears again. Emily wiped the tears from her cheeks before she looked at George. Only answering his question by a little nod. Before he even could bring himself to ask the next question he had on his mind, Emily started speaking again.

"I think she was having night terrors. It was like she was awake but still present in her nightmare, it was so strange." Emily whispered, looking down at her hands that laid in her lap.

Listening to the silence the twins gave her brought Emily to sigh. "What if the rumours are true?"

"What rumours?" Fred asked the troubled girl.

"I heard this rumour about her father being violent. He was a muggle and believed that she was a devil child, for being able to do non-muggle things, and for that he would beat her and lock her up in the shed in the backyard. For days as well." Emily explained searching for their facial expressions.

George's heart ached at the thought of someone being so ruthless, to their own child no less. He silently hoped that it was only a rumour, he wouldn't want anyone being treated that way, simply just because they were themselves. She couldn't help that she held magical powers.

"I don't think you should speculate, it will only make things worse. Ask her about it instead, don't be as stupid as those who spread the rumours." Fred said, bringing George out of his horrible thougts.

Fred looked at his brother for support which caused Geroge to agree with him rather quickly.

"Yeah, most times rumours aren't even true to the slightest." George managed to come up with, his head being full of his own worries.

Danique sat at the end of her bed, face in her hands as she silently cried. McGonagall sat beside her waiting for the girl to say something. She understood that they sat in a very vulnerable and fragile situation.

"Have you experienced this before?" Minerva finally brought herself to ask.

"I've had nightmares about it lately, but never this bad." Danique said with a crack in her voice, speaking in the tone of a whisper.

"Do you mind me asking what they're about?"

"The attack."

"We were informed that you were suffering from memory loss from that night."

"I am. But one can't suffer from it for forever."

"Do you remember the whole attack?" Minerva asked, not even trying to hide the worry her voice held.

"No, there's just two scenarios that play on repeat. I can hear my father begging for them to stop, not to hurt me. The other scenario, I'm lying on the floor in the living room with a man standing above me, he's admiring a knife that he's holding. Saying stuff like;

"You have a very pretty face, too bad it will be ruined in a few seconds."

"It would only be fair for you to have an ugly scar as well, wouldn't it?"

"I take it upon myself that this scar will be so bad that you never will forget about this accident. You will be reminded everytime you see your own reflection."

It didn't take long before tears were streaming down the girl's cheeks again. "They only let me survive so they could hunt me for the rest of my life, to have me spend the rest of my life on my toes." She cried.

I'm not quite sure how I feel about this chapter, but hopefully you will enjoy it! It would also help out if I got some type of feedback, in comments och votes (or message me?). Also, this chapter is a little shorter than the other's.

I will do my best to upload every Saturday (sometimes on Sundays.) Since I am a student still, I don't really know how my weeks look. But soon school will be over, for this semester.

That is all for this time, thanks for reading!
