(3 months later)

I gain the bit of daily confidence  have and rinse the soap off my body. I dry off my hair and put on my clothes. I decide on a colorful crop top, black leggings, and combat boots.
Summer is always the worst part.

Chandler has stopped. Stopped texting, calling, all communication has been halted. And I guess, it's for the best. He has moved on like I wished him to. It's like this every move. I keep telling myself.
But this is different.
I look in the mirror and just want to see him standing next to me. I just want to see him one more time.

"Good morning!" My aunt Suze calls from the living room
"Good morning. And I'll see you later. Going for a walk!" I yell back and walk out the door.
I pry my phone case off and find the 50$ I left in it earlier. I take that out and continue on my way.
Tony is standing at the end of the street. Across from the park like he told me.
He sees me and smiles as I walk up to him and embrace in a hug.
During this I place the money in his pocket as he takes the bag from his.
"Oh my gosh! It's been so long tony!" I bluff the conversation. Wanting to get the bag and leave. People are everywhere and we are needing to be discreet.
"Yes dear. I got you a present." And he hands me the bag.
"Really? For me? Awe. Thank you tony!" I say with a smile
"Goodbye Courtney" he walks away
Goddamn dealer can't even remember my name.
I look in the bottom of the bag and see the green I have been missing. He had already rolled one for me and gives me a lighter in the bottom. I walk around to a secluded area and light the end of the paper and inhale. The smoke fills my lungs, and the scent fills my nostrils. The burning sensation touches my throat and I exhale the smoke. I feel my nerves loosen and my body becoming calmer. I feel my phone vibrate and see the impossible

My eyes refused to comprehend
My lips refused to close
My head refused to stop spinning
But I only made eye contact with the words
"I caught you"
