She remembers the first time she heard about him. It was all so hectic and people talked a lot. He was the main attraction and, honestly, she was never really a fan of conceited new things.

He was so consumed by the heat of it all, enjoying the attention he was being given. After all, he had come out of a dark place and was suddenly exposed as he entered the world she was living in. He liked the spotlight. It was all so new and he was ready for some good change.

He was swarmed with waves of female attention and, what could've been a humble boy at some point, was now only desperate for the attention and love he never really had before.

However, the first time they ever encountered each other, she hated him—no, hate is too strong of a word. Nevertheless, she truly did despise guys like himself.  She was one of the few girls that had absolutely no interest in knowing or talking to him. As cliché as it was, it was nothing but true.

She knew his intentions never meant any harm, yet she also knew they didn't really mean well either. He was indifferent about other people's hearts—or maybe he cared too much for everybody that it simply made him look like nothing but a player.

"Hey." She remembered him saying as she walked to her seat and passed him by. To her luck, he only so happened to be in the spot right behind hers. Fate was always pain in the butt when it came to them two.

She gave him a look, her eyebrow raising suspiciously and also slightly in surprise, not sure why he even bothered speaking to her. After all, they were just strangers. They had never spoken before and had absolutely no reason to even talk.

"Uh, hey?" She replied, narrowing eyes at hom in an annoyed manner while a flirty smirk was plastered on his face. His eyes glowed with amusement as she rolled hers and took a seat.

She found herself frowning at the circumstances—for some reason—extremely annoyed at him.

Who did he think she was? Did he really think he could just have her fall for his charm like every other girl that met him?

No. She was not like every other girl.

And he really did find out she wasn't like the rest—two years later when their paths crossed again. And oh boy, was she wrong when she thought she wouldn't ever fall for his charm.

They destroyed each other in the most beautiful ways there could be, and they built each other in the most disastrous ways too.
