Chapter 16: Secret

Harry's POV :)

        I looked towards the door and I saw a guy standing there. It was Jake.

        "Dude, why the fuck did you just do that," Niall said.

        "Shut up," Jake told him.

        I started walking towards Jake.

        "What's your problem man?"

        "Styles, stay out of this before your friends get to see a repeat from a couple days ago."

        Lexi ran towards Jake.

        "Jake, what the fuck are you doing here?" she yelled.

        "Lex, we need to go. I don't want you here with them. Especially with this dick face."

        "Jake don't call Harry that."        

        "Oh okay. So you are standing up for him now huh?"

        "Jake, you need to leave," I told him.

        "I'm not going anywhere without her," he said while pointing at Lexi. No way was I doing that. This guy was drunk as hell.

        "You are not taking her anywhere," Liam said. "If you want to take her you will have to go through us first."

        "Oh, okay. Well then, I'll just go." Jake started to walk towards the door, until he spun around and started running towards Liam with a   knife. He stabbed him right in the stomach. Liam hit the ground. 

        "Liam? Liam! Hang on Liam! Someone call an ambulance," Lexi yelled.

        When I turned around, Jake was gone. 

        "I swear, if I see that bastard on the street, he will be dead," I said.

Lexi's POV :)

          The ambulance arrived a couple minutes later. Liam was turning grey because he had lost so much blood. I decided to follow the ambulance in my car with the boys'. Once we got there, they took Liam into surgery. The doctor came out and spoke with us.

        "Are you all friends of Mr. Payne?" the doctor asked.

        "Yes," we all said. 

        "Well, I am here to tell you that Mr. Payne will be just fine. Luckily the knife did not go through any major arteries. He will be in the hospital for a couple of days. But, then he should be fine. He has to receive a couple blood transfusions because he lost a lot of blood. What exactly happened?"

        "Well, my friend Jake stabbed Liam. But he was very, very drunk," I replied.

        "Would you have any idea where Jake might be now young lady?"

        "Nope. Not at all." 

        "Well, thank you Ms-"

        "Lexi. Lexi Fuentes."

        "Thank you Ms. Fuentes. Liam should be out of surgery soon. Then you all may go back there and visit."

        "Thank you doctor," Louis said.        

        Once the doctor left, we all had a seat in the waiting room.

        "This is all my fault you guys. I'm so sorry," I said. Tears started to run down my cheeks.

        "It's okay love, Louis said."

        "Harry, thank you so much for sticking up for me back there," I told him. 

        "No problemo." 

        While we were waiting in the waiting room, I pulled out my I-phone and got on twitter. I looked at the trends. One of the trends was #FeelBetterSoonLiam. Wow? How ironic. I clicked on the trend, and saw a news story. The headline said "20 year old Liam Payne from One Direction is in the Hospital." Wait a minute... Liam Payne? That's Liam! He's from One Direction? What is that? 

        "Hey you guys, look what I found on twitter." I showed the boys the news story.

        "Oh wow, what a coincidence," Louis said. "That guys looks just like Li-" 

        Niall shoved Louis in the stomach. 

        "Ow!" Louis yelled.

        "Maybe we should just tell her lads," Niall said.

        "Tell me what?"

        What would they possibly be hiding from me?

        "We are One Direction."
