Chapter 18: Operation Welcome Home Party

Lexi's POV :)
        *a week later*
        Liam is getting out of the hospital today! I'm supposed to meet the guys at Starbucks so we can grab some coffee and go pick Liam up. Harry has been driving me home every night to make sure Jake doesn't try to show up. He also gave me his number too, so I could call him whenever I needed anything. This is a different side of Harry Styles, and I like it. Hopefully, this will be the new and permanent Harry. Jake hasn't been at school at all. He's probably in hiding. I wouldn't even dare to come out in public if I were him. Wouldn't want Harry to get his hands on him now would we?
        When I got out of my car at Starbucks, I saw Niall waving at me from a table inside. I laughed at him. Niall is one of the goofiest people I have ever met. He can always make me smile and laugh. I opened up the door to Starbucks, and I walked in. I was wearing some comfy sweatpants and a long-sleeved t-shirt with some combat boots. I went to the table where Niall was sitting at.
        "Where's everyone else at?"
        "Oh, they're in the bathroom getting all gorgeous for ya," Niall said.
        "Well then how come you aren't in there?"
        "Because, I'm already pretty enough," he said. "Can't you tell?" Then he gave me one of those silly faces that make you want die of laughter.
        "Haha," I laughed. "Niall, why are you so silly?"
        "Ahhh, I don't know. I just love to make people laugh. It makes my day."
        "Well that's really nice Niall," I said and smiled at him.
      
          "Lexi!" I heard someone yell. They walked up behind me and put their hands over my eyes.
        "Let me guess...is it you Louis?"
        "The one and only," he said.
        I turned around and I saw Harry next to him. Wow! He looked very cute today. I mean he really did. Like really, REALLY did. But, doesn't he always look amazing?
        "Hey Lexi," he said.
        "Hi Harry." He bent down and gave me a hug. Our relationship has changed over these past couple of weeks. Styles is one cool guy.
        "So do you guys wanna get some coffee so we can start heading towards the hospital?" Zayn asked.
        "Sure," we all said.

        About a half-hour later, we were on our way to the hospital. Zayn turned on the radio in the car, and "Best Song Ever" started playing. We all started singing it. Haha, I sounded terrible compared to them. But, oh well. When we got to the hospital, Zayn parked the car in valet. We went to the gift shop to get Liam some balloons and a teddy bear. When we reached Liam's floor, we all ran to his room.
        "LIAM!" we all yelled. 
        "Hiya," he said.
        "You ready to go mate?" Niall said.
        "I've been ready." 
        We gave Liam his balloons and teddy bear and we walked downstairs. Once we got in the car, Liam fell asleep. He's probably exhausted. He needs some sleep.
        "Hey you guys," Niall whispered. "Let's throw a party."
        "For Liam?!" Louis asked. 
        "Yeah," Niall said. "A welcome home party."
        "Sounds good to me," Zayn said.
        "I'm in," Harry said.
        "I'm in too."
