Chapter 13: Just Friends..

Harry's POV :)

        I heard the front door being kicked down. Then I heard the guys voice. 

        "Harry, where the hell are you?" I heard him yell. It seemed like he was trying to intimidate me. But, no one intimidates me. No one. Then I heard her voice, Lexi's. Why did she come back?

        "Jake stop!" she yelled. She was trying to protect me. How sweet... The boyfriend's name is Jake? Hmm, who figured?

        Then I heard footsteps down the hallway. They were coming closer and closer.

        "Ha, found ya." 

        Suddenly I felt a blow to the face. Did the bastard just punch me? My jaw cracked.

        "How dare you talk to her that way," he yelled. 

        I turned my head and looked Lexi straight into her eyes.

        "Lexi, you better get your boyfriend before I do something that I will regret."

        "Is that a threat? I will beat your ass man," Jake said.

        "You guys stop!" Lexi yelled.

        I was about to punch the guy until Lexi hopped on top of me. Is this girl crazy?

        "Harry! Stop!" she yelled at me. I tried to push her off of me but she didn't budge. Damn this girl was strong. "Stop!" she yelled one more time. Then suddenly she grabbed my face. Only Raegan used to touch my face. Raegan. 

        Her hands were warm around my face, and the way she was looking in my eyes made me feel different. Happier. 

        "Snap out of it Harry," I said in my head.

        "Get off of me Lexi," I mumbled.  She got off of me.

        "Let's go Jake," she said. "Oh yeah, and by the way Harry, Jake is not my boyfriend. Nut he'd make a hell of a lot better one than you ever would." Was I supposed to be hurt by what she said? "You've got your wish Harry. I'm out of your life for good. Goodbye."

        Lexi walked out of my room and shut the front door. I'm glad that she is out of my life now, so now all I have is Raegan. No one else.

Lexi's POV :)

        Once Jake and I got back into the car, I started the engine.

        "Hey Jake, I'm exhausted and I just wanna go home. Maybe we can hang out some other time?"

        "Sure Lex, that's fine. Can you drop me off at my house?"

        "Sure."

        Jake and I stopped talking after that. It was nice to have a little bit of silence. I thought today was going to be a better day, but I guess not.

        Once I reached Jake's house I parked my car in his driveway.

        "Thanks for everything today Jake. I really appreciate it." I leaned over and gave him a kiss on the cheek. He really was a nice guy. After I kissed Jake on the cheek, we kinda just stared at each other. Then Jake leaned over and gave me a kiss. At first I wasn't expecting it. 

        "What are you doing Lex," I said to myself in my head.

               It's not that I didn't like the kiss. It was nice. It's just that me and Jake are just friends. Or are we? 

        I pulled away from the kiss.

        "Goodnight Lex," he said.

        "Bye, Jake."

Well today has been pretty interesting...
