Chapter 23: Because I Love You.

Harry's POV :)

        "Tonight," I told her.

        Lex had a worried expression on her face.

        "Are you guys gonna be there with me?" she asked worriedly. 

        "Of course," Niall said. "We weren't gonna let you be alone with that creep."

        "We will just be hiding of course," Louis said.

        "I'll be hiding in the room next to you," I told her. "I will be listening, and if anything goes wrong, I will be there."

        "So, do you want me to text Jake right now?"

        "Sure. Tell him to come over in an hour," Liam said.

        "That should give us enough time to get everything ready," Niall said.

        Let the games begin...

Lexi's POV :)

        "Follow me," Niall said. We all walked downstairs to the basement. Niall flicked the light switch on the wall, and the lights slowly turned on. Once the lights were on, Niall walked over to a shelf and grabbed a box from underneath it.

        "Lex, meet the bad boys."

        Niall opened up the box, and there were a whole bunch of guns in it.

        "Wow. You guys are really serious about this," I said.

        "We don't mess around kiddo," Louis said.

        "Here lads, take one." 

        Niall gave a gun to each of the boys even Harry, and they all even put on bullet proof vests. They really thought Jake was a potential threat. But who wouldn't count someone who killed their mother a potential threat?

        "You ready lads?" Harry asked.

        "Let's rock and roll," Zayn said.

        Harry and all the other boys hopped into the Audi. We parked the car a couple streets down so that Jake wouldn't get suspicious. Luckily my mom was out of town for a business trip for a few weeks, so she wasn't going to be home.

        "Lex, me, Liam, Louis, and Zayn will be hiding in the trees and around your house," Niall said.

        I nodded my head.

        "You ready Lex?" Harry said as he grabbed my hand.

        "As ready as I'll ever be."

        "It's gonna be fine Lex," he said as he bent down and kissed me.

        His kiss made me forget about everything for a second. How could one kiss just be so powerful?

        Harry and I walked into my house, and I walked into the bathroom.

        "I'll be in this room right here," Harry said. "I will be able to hear everything. Good luck," he said as he kissed me one more time. What if that was the last time I would ever be able to kiss Harry?

        A couple minutes later, the lights started to flicker my house again. Jake was here.

        "Hello Lexi," he whispered in my ear. I turned around and looked Jake dead in the eyes.
