*Back to Cherry's point of view*

After lunch, Will and I finished up the rest of the school day but didn't have any classes together after lunch unfortunately. He's such a cool guy.

"Hey dude, how do you usually get home?" I asked Will as we walked away from the school, considering classes had finished for the day.

"My mom picks me up usually but she's working longer hours so now I walk home," he replied.

"Cool! I walk home everyday! I wonder if we live nearby each other," I said, winking and sticking my tongue out playfully.

Will blushed and pulled out his phone. "Hey Cher?"

"Yeah?" I replied, looking at him as we walked along the sidewalk.

"Could I get your phone number for homework purposes?" He asked, his entire face as red as a tomato.

"Of course! Put your phone number in mine too!" I exclaimed, pulling my little pink phone from my back pocket and setting up the contact. We exchanged phones and entered our own numbers into a new contact.

"Thanks Cherry," he replied.

"So.... Where do you live?" I asked, starting to turn around and walk backwards while still facing Will.

"Like three blocks from here. What about you?" Will asked.

"Same! Three blocks. I wonder how far apart our houses are! When did you move here?" I continually rambled.

"My parents and I moved here last week. It was actually three days before the car accident," Will told me.

I gave him a sympathetic smile and turned back around to walk normally again.

"Hey, do you want to come over and work on homework?" He asked me.

"Sure! I'll just stop home real quick and tell my stepdad where I'm going," I replied cheerfully, pushing up my glasses.

"Sounds great! I should probably give my mom a heads up," Will said, laughing happily.

"Awesome! Have you gotten your room set up yet?" I asked, widening my eyes.

"Nope, but I'm getting to it," he chuckled.

"Oh my gosh! Can I help when we finish our homework?!" I pleaded enthusiastically.

"Wow, I've never seen anyone so excited about decorating a room," Will replied, smiling and laughing a little.

"It's actually quite fun," I said, raising an eyebrow as I playfully grinned.

When we reached our block, Will walked me to my door. "I'll be back in a minute. You should go ask your stepdad and I'll ask my mom and come back to your house," Will told me.

"Okay cool! I'll come back out here when I'm done asking," I said to him.

We headed our separate directions. I opened the door, walking past my stepsister who had decidedly stuck her foot in my path resulting in my face's collision with the floor. My glasses slid across the wooden floor when my face hit the floor.

"Beatrix? Why do you do this?" I asked her, irritated as I snatched my cat-eyed glasses from the floor.

"You stole my father, Doofus. You think you're so cute and innocent but you are a little embarrassment to our family," she replied, walking away.
