Chapter 5...
The young maiden had trouble getting rest that night, so she decided it would be better to count the stars than to simply lye there doing nothing.
She tip toed off to the entrance of the cave, careful not the wake anyone up. She hadn't even made it out yet she could see the beautiful glow of the moon shining brilliantly on the walls of the cave.
Making her way on top of the cave entrance, she noticed someone standing there. And come to think about it, there were only five others in the cave, including herself.
She could tell simply by his figure that he was one of their own, she had always been one to observe things.
His dark raven hair seemed to shimmer under the moon light, it put her in he weakest stage of awe, gazing at his beauty.
It stunned her, though, when he spoke up. "You done starin' yet?" His gaze let the sky, and made their way to the young maiden.
She had snapped out of her daze, almost losing her footing and falling. She turned her head quickly, being stubborn as she is, "you just broke two of my rules, I should have your head" he snorts out in annoyance.
It was true though, he did break two of her rules, though in his defence, he never intended to follow them anyway.
"What are you doin' up this late anyway?" He asks, finally realizing who he was speaking with, which princess, that is.
"Such a simpleton, you must not follow the rules much where you're from, do you" she says, finally on top of the cave entrance. He roles his eyes, oh his beautiful dark blue eyes.
"Wow, your servants must hate their job, having to listen to the likes of you all day." He says, keeping his voice calm and low. Though he was, her face beemed bright red in rage and she seemed like she was reading to fight.
"Honestly, I don't even know why I'm speaking with such a low life" she says, gazing up at the stars. He looks down at her, almost lashing out but managing to maintain his cool.
"Then why don't you just go back, you don't need to be out here" he replies. She looks down, not saying anything. Remembering back, she seemed to be more stubborn than silent, but it was like her personality changed intierly in a split second.
"I'm awake because I couldn't sleep, my servants... they don't hate me, in fact, they are the only friends I have, and I'm not going back because I needed someone to speak to" she says, her voice barely audible. Gray seemed taken aback, he hadn't seen this side of the stubborn princess.
It almost reminded him of himself, but she hid her face, her voice muffled, and simply by how she spoke, he could tell that she was on the verge of tears.
"Hey you, escort..." she looks up, wiping away the few fallen tears, "W-....what did you..." she hicks through sniffles. Who knew she would break down so suddenly.
"Say your name was?" Finally, she looked him in the eyes, standing up so they were face to face.
"Uh..." in that moment, he had almost forgotten his own name, "G-Gray... fullbuster" her once stubborn lips that formed a frown, slowly made their way to a small smile, hidden by beauty.
"Gray?.... well then... Gray... you may call me Juvia, no need for formalities. We're friends now" She says, smiling for the first time since they set off, with this, she climbed down and entered to cave, leaving the raven haired boy in awe.
