Ch. 13 ●Winged Beast●

Chapter 13...

It's eyes, a deadly crimson color, yet it's wings, pure white. It was huge compared to the two, but it couldn't measure up to a dragon.

It scanned the area, and as soon as it's sharp eyes landed on them, the air stiffened. It crawled, slowly but deadly, in their direction. Growling to the extent of volume +30 (Wow author-san, great way to describe a loud growl *facepalms*). As it moved closer, they moved farther, but what they hadn't accounted for, was the dead end behind them.

So much for that master plan.

It seemed to be a giant Panther, it's eyes glaring daggers into his soul. Each step creating more tension than the one before.

The Winged Beast was only feet away, it's mouth expanding, revealing it's large, intimidating fangs. Gray knew better than to shoot his mouth off, but maybe if he could create a distraction then somehow Princess Juvia could escape.

But, sadly, Juvia wasn't as fortunate to know when to keep quiet. "Ha! You don't scare me." She spat, glaring back that the panther. Those long Canine teeth she was probably doubting, seemed really intimidating up close.

Out of nowhere, they heard three sharp taps. They sounded like claps, but that still put Gray and Juvia on high alert. "Well well, aren't you a little feisty one." A gruff, rusty sounding voice cackled from somewhere unknown.

They looked adound, not noticing the panther, who was previously scaring the hell out of the two, sit down. Before their eyes, a man dressed in all black jumped down from the higher cliff above.

He walked towards the panther, a wide mixture between a sick grin and a smirk crossed his rough features. Even from behind, they could see his long, messy, pitch black hair.

"So you're the one couple in the bunch who got captured, huh." He cackled loudly, something about him seemed... familiar.
