Chapter 11...
The four walked down the odd looking village. It was small, dark but lively, and somehow, the whole Celestial Nation overlooked it. It was apparently hidden by a protection barrier, making it blend in with the forest.
"So anyway, there's a bar in this village, the village of the rejected." Said the woman now identified as Evergreen. The Rejected? Thought Jellal as they looked around.
"You can stay there for shelter while we search for your friends." Walking up to a big building in white peach and orange, with flags, the two turn to each other for a brief second, seemingly relieved.
"What you see in here you mustn't tell anyone. This is the Lost Nation, it must remain that way. If those people of the Celestial Nation find out then they are sure to hold us captive as prisoners." Said Evergreen as she opened the two doors.
They all entered, everyone seemed to notice, but no one seemed to care.
The man and woman led Erza and Jellal down a hallway, turning a corner, and entered a office like room. The man, now known as Elfman, spoke up, "I need another room key, gramps" the chair behind the desk turned, revealing a rather old looking man.
The man got up and walked over to a shelf, pulling out a drawer, and taking out a key. He then turned towards Elfman with a annoyed look on his old wrinkly face.
"Now listen here boy, I don't want a repeat of last time, so you'd better take care of this room, hear?!" He nodded fiercely, taking the key from the old mans hand.
"And you two, I've never seen you, where are you from?" He asked Erza and Jellal, once again taking a seat. Erza spoke up, "We simply have come for the nights stay, shelter, and a deal" she smiled warmly.
"Oh dear, what kind of deal did you make with these fools?" He started to scribble words down on a page, making sure to listen to Erzas every word.
"We lost our allies in the forest thanks to them, so they assured they'd find them while we took shelter" Jellal said. Evergreen and Elfman were just barely out of the room before the old man said it. Sending shivers down their spines.
"I'm sorry to hear that, but please, specifics" you could sense the tension in the room even if you weren't in it.
"Allow me to introduce myself. I am Princess Erza Scarlet, in alliance with the Celestial Nation. This here is one of my escorts, Jellal Fernandes. My sister's and I were separated when they suddenly attacked, we lost the other two escorts as well. These two promised to find my sisters and reunite us in exchange for their lives that were on the line. They offered we rest here while they search for our party." Said Erza, explaining it all in an utmost polite manner.
The old man's facial expression went into full blown shock. He then glared at the two who were currently huddled in a corner, cowering from fears.
"Please forgive their absurd behavior. There is no excuse for attacking a princess." He said, shaking his head in disappointment. "Anyhow, I'm Makarov Dreyar, and welcome to my Bar, the Fairy Tail Bar of the Lost Nation" he held out his hand and the two shook it with confidence.
"We humbly thank you for allowing us to stay here" said Jellal as he bowed.
"Oh no, I should be thanking you. I do apologize for these brats as well."
"Mmm"
"Please enjoy your stay" he waved and they left the office room.
