"Class, Are you working on your investigatory projects already? You need to pass chapters 1 and 2 before the quarter ends okay?" Ms. Panganiban reminded us. Fvck. I almost forgot about that. We only have 2 weeks to complete chapters 1 and 2 and unfortunately, we haven't even started yet.

I scratched the back of my head. Why did I even let this happen? Am I that busy with Zeke?

I turned to face him. My forehead knotted when I saw him flirting with our classmate- si Siara. What a manwhore.

I hit his arm- I'm glad that it caught his attention. "What?" He said in a bored tone.

"Yung I.P. natin" I reminded him.

"That could wait" He smirked at me before returning to what he's doing. He acts like he doesn't care about our project at all. Anger starts to boil up my cheeks.

How could he just ignore me like that and flirt with Siara- ang panget niya! Setting my bitterness aside, I'm just protecting my ego here. Everybody knows that we're together. He's not supposed to be flirting with any girl- lalo na't sa harapan ko pa.

"Zeke Austin, it's either you'll stop flirting with her or I'll fvcking kick your injured leg now." I said in the most calmed tone that I could muster.

As if on cue, he stopped talking to Siara then he faced the blackboard, pretending to act innocent. I kinda feel so fulfilled dahil napasunod ko si Zeke despite of his stubborn attitude. "So saan natin gagawin yung Investigatory Project?" I tried my best to sound casual.

"Aya, my idea of investigatory project is making out and getting drunk." Bastos! Hinampas ko siya sa balikat. "@sshole" I even hissed at him. He just chuckled. He's enjoying himself, isn't he? Inirapan ko siya. Why wouldn't he take me seriously? Mukha ba akong nagjo-joke?

He stood up and he was about to walk away when he said: "Sa unit ko. 5:30" My mouth slightly parted. Ewan ko kung ilang segundo akong natulala, all I know is that we will do our investigatory project in his unit later at 5:30. I didn't see that coming.

I saw Johan walking by the corridor- he's still sprinting a bit. I rushed towards him. "Hi" He smiled at me. I'm aware that something has changed between us- there's a gap already. Parang lumayo kami sa isa't isa. Kung hindi ko pa nga siya tatawagin, hindi niya ako papansinin. But I'm glad that he's already attending classes again. Sana magtuloy tuloy na.

"Aya, do you want to eat lunch with me?" I nodded at him. I can't even recall the last time we ate together. Ganun na katagal! I missed him so d@mn much.

We settled on my favorite spot since Johan knows that I hate eating at the canteen.

That's what I like most about him- he always pays attention to me. He gives time just to listen to my likes, dislikes and even my rants about random people. He asks how my days turn out and-

"Is he treating you well?" I fell silent because of his question.  Napasubo ako ng kanin ng wala sa oras. I was eating slowly, hoping that he'll take back his question pero mali ako- naubos rin yung pagkain sa bibig ko at kinailangan ko na siyang bigyan ng isang safe answer- the kind that wouldn't provoke him or something.

I swallowed hard. "Yes Jo, he's quite a nice guy." I couldn't describe how awkward our topic is- lalo na't siya ang kausap ko. If he could only get the idea and stop asking about Zeke.
