I woke up. It was going to happen today. I was finally going to tell my dad about my transition. I've known since I was little. I am transgender. I grew my hair out so I could put it in a pony tail. I told all my friends that it was inspired by a biker I saw, but I knew the truth. "Hey Dad," I said nervously as I walked in the kitchen. "Hello Kasper," he said joyfully. I cringed as he said that name. "Your hair is getting awfully long," he noticed. "Yeah, I'm trying to get it to my lower back," I replied instantly. My dad glared at me as if I was a crazy person, but to him I probably was. "Dad, I need to tell you something," I asked hesitantly. "Are your grades going down? " he asked suspiciously.
"No, uh.... I'm transgender."
My dad stared in awe. "I needed to tell you." I stated. "Why? Why are you like that? Do you need a therapist?" he offered. "Dad, I thought you would be more understanding," I said hurt. I furrowed my brow desperate to make him understand. "We'll talk when we get home, I need to go to work," he stated firmly.
