"She'll kill me."
"She wont."
"She will."
"Walter, be quiet. She isn't going to kill you."
I sighed and rubbed my cheek.
"I'm going to die."
I muttered. Daniel released my hand once he opened the front door of his home.
"Hey! Walter, are you okay? You're as red as a rose!"
Katie said, walking up to us. She put a hand on my cheek.
"You're really warm."
She stepped back. Taking a big look at Daniel, she raised an eyebrow.
"What happened?"
"Katie, Walter and I kissed."
She didn't say anything for what felt like forever. I switched my footing awkwardly.
"You...kissed?"
"Yeah."
"I didn't know you were gay, Daniel."
"I'm not."
He stated calmly.
"Walter needed me to kiss him for him to trust me, so I did."
"Even though we are dating?"
"Yes."
"You know that counts as cheating on me, right?"
"Yes."
"And you still did it?"
God I wanted to leave.
"Yes."
"Does Walter mean more to you than I do?"
"Yes."
Wow, no hesitation.
"I know cheating is wrong and I shouldn't have hurt you like this but Walter means a lot to me and I had to make sure he trusted me."
She looked at her shoes for a long moment, then her eyes shot up and stared me down. I jumped slightly and looked away.
"Are you gay, Walter?"
She asked.
"E-Erm...Yeah..."
"Your sister said something about keeping you and Daniel apart. You're gay for Daniel?"
"W-Well um.. I'm gay and I have a crush on Daniel..yeah...but I don't like girls at all.. so... i'm not 'gay for Daniel'."
"Hmm.. Okay so you had him kiss you knowing what it meant?"
"Yeah...sorry..."
"No, no."
She waved calmly me. I was actually kind of scared at her calm smile.
"Don't be sorry. It doesn't change anything."
"Wha-What?"
I looked at her again. Daniel shifted slightly.
"What do you mean, Katie?"
Daniel asked calmly.
"I mean, it doesn't change anything. We are still dating."
"We are?"
Daniel raised an eyebrow.
"Erm. Katie. I think I have missed something. Katie, I don't want to date you anymore."
