I sat in bed at night, my mind racing on tomorrow. "What if I'm shunned again?" "What if everyone hates me?!?" I emptied the negative thoughts from my mind and rolled over. Tomorrow was my first day at Ravenwood Academy, a school for powerful magical beings. I was a witch able to talk to animals, mostly my rabbit, Abra. "What famous witch speaks to animals, or has a dumb name like Usagi?" My mind was restless. "Abra? Are you up still?"
"Ughh....Usagi, go to sleep," Abra said, turning around in his cage. Abra was a male, brown, long eared rabbit. He was always sarcastic and spoke with an irritated tone, but he was a good friend and occasionally gave great advice. "Abra I need advice..." "What Usagi?"
"I-I'm scared to go to Ravenwood..."
Abra was silent for a minute, then finally spoke. "What's there to be nervous about? You're there to learn, not to make friends. Do you know how many people were denied from that school? Now go to sleep kiddo, you need some rest." I turned over again and closed my eyes. "Good night, Abra."
"Heh......Night Kiddo. See you tomorrow." I pulled the cover over me and finally fell asleep, thinking about Abra's wise advice.
