" Still writing, kiddo? You seem to be sucked into writing," Abra said. I rolled my eyes and turned from my desk. "It's a journal. Of course I'm going to get sucked into it!" Abra chuckled. "Heh, whatever you say. Why don't you go outside for a bit and get some fresh air?" I looked down at my journal. It was dark red with a heart lock on it. I debated on what to do. Finally, I stood up and walked outside.
I walked around the block for a bit before returning inside. Since it was Saturday, the girls were busy. I went back to my desk and journal. Abra's cage was on my nightstand, so I moved it onto my desk and let him out. He hopped around and sniffed here and there. After awhile I decided to give him some lettuce scraps. "Abra, I'm bored. Can you tell me a story?" He stopped sniffing and sat still. "Well...I can try I suppose." I picked Abra up and sat him on my bed. He moved around and got comfy. Then he proceeded to start his story.
"Once upon a time, there was a beautiful maiden locked on top of the highest tower by her wicked mother. Her mother did this so she could become the prettiest maiden in their village. The tower was guarded by a huge dragon. Many tried to save her, many failed. One day, a strong witch came to rescue the princess. The dragon tried to stop her, but failed, for unlike the others who tried to save her, the witch used compassion. 'Mr. Dragon, oh please won't you move,' the witch said. 'Why should I move for the likes of you?' The witch---"
Abra's story was cut off by excessive mewing. "Help," The mewing creature said. I rushed out of bed to find the cause of the meowing. I ran outside only to find a tiny black kitten with a bloody paw. I gently picked it up and took it to the bathroom to clean up the blood.
