I woke up to a brand new day with the melodies of ravens outside my door, singing about the morning sun. "The light! The light!" they sung as a chorus. I woke up with a hefty moan and began my day. I was still frazzled from last week's random message at Ravenwood, yet I kept going, telling myself it would be okay. Abra and Elsa were fast asleep, so I prepared for school as quietly as possible. After putting on my uniform, accessories, and shoes, I tip toed to the kitchen to grab a quick breakfast, then proceeding outside.
I stood outside longer than I usually waited. Time ticked by slowly. Five minutes soon became ten, then fifteen, and finally twenty. The yellow beast came slowly tugging around the corner. The monster soon opened its hideous mouth, persuading me to enter. I got on and proceeded with my normal routine. This time, the ride went be impeccably fast, almost as if we were at the school in a flash. I got off the bus and made my way to the cafe to meet everyone before class started.
I walked into the cafe and was instantly face to face with Anmiè. "Heya Sweetheart!" She pulled me in for a tight hug and lead me to the others. They were having a heated discussion on their favorite song. "Trees is FAR better then Beside You," Luna said with an aggressive tone. Harmony stood up. "THAT'S A LIE AND YOU KNOW IT!" Sirona got in the middle of them. "Enough!" Anmiè and I walked over after the three had settled and sat down. Elizi and Parker were no where to be seen. "Hey Usagi. Sorry for that whole situation," Luna said. Anmiè took a seat next to me. The girls gossiped and talked while I dozed off into the distance. A group of guys in black cloaks sat at the table across from us. My attention went toward them. "Those people look so odd..." I kept looking at the group of people until Sirona called my name. "Are you okay, Usagi?" I snapped back into reality. "Huh? Oh, yeah I'm fine," I said as I nodded my head and went back to looking at the guys. "Who are you looking at?" Anmiè asked. I tilted my head towards the group. Everyone became silent and stared. "Those guys look suspicious..." Harmony said, her voice filled with concern. "Maybe we should follow them just incase," said Sirona. Everyone agreed to that idea. "What if Elizi and Parker come in? How will they find us," said Luna. "We shouldn't be gone that long," said Anmiè. We whispered and made a plan for our new mission.
After the mysterious gang had finished talking, they exited the cafe through the back entrance that was never used. We got up and quietly followed. The group made their way into the forest, walking in a triangular formation. I signaled the girls to follow into a huddle. "Alright, you know what to do," I said. Luna stepped aside and reached for her wand, summoning the constellation Cancer. The tiny crab fell into her hand. She extended her hand towards me, implying that she wanted me to take the crab. "Hey there little guy...Mind doing us a favor?" I asked the small crustacean. I whispered the plan, to which it agreed. Anmiè took out a light pink bow with white, curved tips. She pulled out an arrow with a tip shaped as a heart. I placed the crab on the arrow. Anmiè raised her bow and shot the arrow into the woods. A puff of pink smoke arose into the sky when the bow landed. We followed in behind, making our way to the smoke. As soon as we arrived, we became face to face with the group.
We froze in our steps. The area became silent. The men started talking in a different language. "Interficias Eos....Interficias Eos...." A look of despair fell on our faces. One of the caped men stepped forward. He grabbed his wand and lifted it up while chanting in the same language. "Magica mutare in aeternum!" A bright light arose from the tip of his wand. Everyone screamed as the light blinded us, knocking us off our feet and putting us in a state of unconsciousness.
