Elizi's Point of View
I rushed ahead of the other girls, bringing myself to ignore and deny any sparked conversations with them. I couldn't bear to look at them anymore. I knew so much about them, yet knew absolutely nothing at the same time. They weren't my friends. They weren't the girls I once hung out with, went to concerts with, or withheld for our own safety with. They were just empty, hollow, soulless reincarnations of people I once dared to call friends. A single tear dropped from my right eye and slowly trickled down my cheek. "I promise...."
I made my way through the winding woods and into the back entrance of the café. I slammed the door behind me, drawing what little crowd was left in the cafe onto me. I slumped my back against the cold "What to do....what to do..." The loud ringing of a bell met my ears. "Is that the bell to Study Hall..? Maybe I'll have time to research in the library!" A spark of determination entered my body as I started to make my way towards the library, completely ignoring my current surroundings.
I steadily made my way towards the giant, metallic doors of the Ravenwood library. A large engraved Raven with its wings spread served as artistic decoration on the door. Two smaller cemented ravens with a tranquil expression were placed on opposite sides of the doorway. I slowly rested my palm against the beak of the engraved bird. The coldness of the metal sent a sharp shock down my spine. I grabbed circular hooped handle and pushed the door open with all of my might. My jaw dropped in awe as my gaze fell on the high stacked rows of books. It seemed searching for my desired topic would be nearly impossible. I made my way to the "R" section and began my search.
"Rabbits.....Restoration....." I moved my hand down the row of books and stopped on a large red one titled, "Reversal; The Ins and Outs of Spell Swapping." I grabbed the book and squealed with joy. I took the book to the nearest table and began to immerse myself with knowledge. I opened to the table of contents and became overwhelmed. "Chapter One: What is Reversal?- Page 4." "Chapter Two: Casting a Reversal Spell.- Page 7." The chapters continued with information I couldn't easily identify. "Where they attacked? Was it a spell? Did they happen to eat something?" I slammed my tear ridden face into the book, causing a huge puff of smoke to erupt. A girl seated across from me chewing gum snickered with a smirk. I raised my head and met one of her glowing yellow eyes. Her hair was a deep shade of crimson red; Hair covered her left eye and made its way into a ponytail. Her peachy skin was riddled with scars; One taking place under her right eye. Her pointed, bitten, dog-like ears were decorated with 4 rings on each side. She wore a gray sweater, black jeans, and a spiked bracelet on her right arm. "Do you think is some type of joke? You don't know what I've been through," I retorted angrily. A hot tear made its way from my eye and landed on my cheek. Her tiny snicker grew into a chuckle. "Oh.....but I bet I do."
