"Put me down you little prick! Ouch! I said stop," the little kitten screamed. Abra sighed and put his paws over his ears. I had put the kitten into the bathroom sink in hopes of removing some of the blood from her paw. That action of generosity however wasn't taken very kindly. "Get your dirty hands off of me already! I didn't mean THIS type of help!! Urghhh!" I continued to wash the kitten until the blood was fully gone. I then applied medical treatment to her wound.
I placed the kitten and Abra on the couch in the living room. "Alright. Now why were you screaming help for if you didn't want me to help you," I asked. "Oh, you actually fell for that? Haha! That's the oldest trick in the book!" "What..What do you mean," Abra asked. "I just wanted some food, drinks, a place to crash, and some medical treatment." Abra and I exchanged looks. Then after a moment of silence, Abra finally spoke up. "You know Usagi, that mean old dog next door sure has been awfully hungry." "D-Dog?!?" I stayed quiet and let Abra take the wheel. "Oh yeah. He's a big dog. His teeth are as sharp as blades. His eyes as menacing as a tiger. His claws--" "Ah! Okay okay okay! Do you mind if I uh..." "If you what," I asked. "You know...stay here from that God awful beast!" Abra and I were quiet for a moment. "You trick us..the expect us to shelter you," Abra asked. "Well, the past is in the past. We can forget this, right bunny boy?" Abra rolled his eyes. "Fine. You need to contribute around the house though. What can you do?" "I'm a grade A thief if I do say so myself." Abra looked at me. I took a deep breath and finally replied. "Yeah you can stay. You'll need a name though. Do you have one?" "A name? I'm no kitty-pet I've never had a home or name." I thought long and hard for a name for her. "Here's some, I'll let you choose: Elsa, Mavis, Rita, Elisa, Phoebe, Dixie, or Blaze." "Elsa, because why not? It sounds pretty cool." "Alright Elsa, welcome to our very small family. I'm Usagi. And this is Abra." Abra scoffed. "Usagi it's starting to get late and you have school tomorrow. Why don't you make some dinner, wash up, and go to bed?" So I did just that and grabbed some old blankets for Elsa to sleep on. I placed the blankets next to my bed and told Elsa to sleep there. I turned out the lights to my room, kissed Elsa and Abra goodnight, and shortly fell asleep ready for tomorrow and my family a bit bigger.
