Chapter 84

". . . . He's advancing in potions! We reckon that he should play nice and fair like everyone else" Hermione said pissed after their potions in the dungeon

"We reckon or you reckon? I think Ronald doesn't care about the Half Blood Prince, he only cares about snogging his stupid girlfriend or whatever they call each other" Hermione and I laughed as we ducked when we passed Peeves who was aiming to get us wet with slime

"Speaking of them" Hermione and I grimaced when we saw Ron and Lavander eating their faces off

"Watch this" I said wiping my wand out smirking at the two "calvario" Lavander's hair begun to fall out as she notices she screamed bloody murder running away from Ron who was shocked at what has happened too. Hermione laughed as I took her hand and ran to the other corridor

"Hey Audrey!" Harry yelled as he pushed his way through the crowd making his way towards me

"What's up Harold?" I asked

"I should be going.." Hermione said leaving the both of us

"Dumbledore wanted to see us again" He breathed

"What could it be this time?" I asked him "He's been called me for three times this year, and good thing he hasn't called me when I was in trouble back here" I said as we walked through Dumbledore's office. Harry told the Gargoyle's password as it sprung to life creating a spiral stair case that lead to Dumbledore's office

"Enter" he commanded as Harry pushed opened the door

"Very well you've bought Ms. Evans along" Dumbledore said smiling at the both of us

"May I ask professor? Why did you summoned me for?" I asked politely, Dumbledore frowned knowing it wasn't great news

"I am sorry for the both of you but I called you this evening to deliver the message that your parents are missing Mavis" My whole world stopped at Dumbledore's words as my heart thumped loudly in my chest

"No professor they can't be" Harry spoke for me as he was still shocked from the news. I placed my head over his shoulder as I cried silently

"Uncle Gab's a skilled auror! He's almost as high as Kingsley and Mad eye! He-"

"Everyone is in mortal peril Harry, I assume he went to go look for his wife who went missing first" Dumbledore said cutting Harry off

"Since when did this happened?" I asked my voice croaking a little as I wiped my tears away.

"Yesterday evening Ms. Evans, but don't worry some aurors has already assigned to go look for them." Dumbledore said calmly "Mavis, I assume that he already knows who you are?" Harry looked at me as He was about to scold me but Dumbledore raised his hand stopping Harry

"Y-yes it was the day we were both at Godric's Hollow" I answered sniffing

"Very well then, He can help you find your parents"

"Why did you told him?!" Harry bellowed making me jump a little

"I did not tell him! It sort of happened too fast you scwany little git" I hissed hitting the back of his head

"No need to fight Mavis and Harry." Dumbledore said watching the two of us glare at each other

"I couldn't blame Ms. Evans for being weak and tired when she encountered Mr. Malfoy" Dumbledore said softly "Back again to the topic, Mavis I want you to ask Draco if his aunt bellatrix has hidden both of your parents in the cellar of their manor-"

"How did you know-"

"I have many resources Harry. Mavis you may go now, Harry stay for a moment please" Dumbledore said as I nodded heading to the door then down to the Slytherin Common Rooms

I saw Draco sitting over the fire reading some acient book, He didn't notice me and I was glad that he didn't notice me, I quietly walked over the stairs until I froze in my tracks when I heard his voice call for me

"Mavis where have you been?"

"I'm not Mavis."

"Oh don't you bloody lie to me-"

"I was called in Dumbledore's office Draco" I snapped as I turned around to see him.

"What for?"

"That's not none of your business" I muttered glaring at him

"Mavis please. I'm sorry."

"Yeah right sorry!" I scoffed "You didn't know how much it hurts to see you snogging around different girls"

"I didn't know!" Draco yelled frowning "I was so stupid. I was blinded by sadness!"

"You weren't the only one who was sad! I was too! I was afraid you left me for good that you never-" I was cut off of my mid sentence when Draco kissed me in my lips. It was quite shocking because I haven't felt his lips in mine for a long time.

"Please, Mavis. We can do this. We can bring the old us back just trust me" He whispered. A stray tear falling from his cheeks. It hurts to see him broken but I know that I have to act tough.

"Prove yourself worthy Draco." I answered coldly

"But- Mavis please! Listen to me! I love you! I love you more than anything and I was a fool on cheating on you!" Draco said choking from his own tears "I didn't want to hurt you!"

"But you did! You hurt me Draco!" I yelled back

"It was an accident!"

"Well you were determined to hurt me even if you didn't know that I was Mavis right? Am I right Draco?" I snapped at him. I looked deeply into his eyes as tears ran down in my cheeks

"I'm so sorry" was the last thing he said before he lowered his head down "I'm so sorry for being a jerk, I'm so sorry for everything that I've done to you as Audrey."

"Sorry isn't enough to make me feel better. It wouldn't heal the pain you have caused me." I answered softly looking up to see him still crying

"I'm going to make it up for you." Draco said sniffling "All the things that I've done wrong, I'll correct it just please Mavis, one more chance. I know you still love me in the deepest portion of your heart. Please" Draco stated hugging me tightly. He burried his head in my neck as I stood there in shock. I wasn't expecting him to be like this to me but who knows? He was proving himself worthy of me. He still loves me and he was right. I still love him

"You know I'll give you more chances Draco if it is needed. Because you're right. I loved you and I still do. You are my kryptonite. I can't afford seeing you devastated. It breaks my heart. Please stop crying Draco." I said pushing myself away from him. He looked at me in disbelief but I quickly exited the common room avoiding him and headed to the owlery to check upon my owl Toffee who was perching in the top together with Hedwig

"Toffee! Come here girl!" I whispered as she flew down in my shoulder rubbing her head in my cheeks

"I'm glad to see you too" I chuckled "any letters for me?" I asked, she handed her talons a letter was attached to it as I opened it seeing it was from the twins

Meet us in the three broomsticks tomorrow at lunch time, we miss you already! I reckon the both of us can't function well without you

Yeah George and I think the shop is a mess whenever you're not around. Hope you fancy cleaning when you get back. Joking.
