When Hinata had finally finished telling his collection of terrible puns, Kageyama was slightly annoyed. He told Hinata to go get dressed, because they needed to go to school, or at least go to practice, and he was rid of the spiker for a second.

Finally, it was peaceful, and Kageyama could catch up with his thoughts.
Why did he really pick up Hinata?
Ordinarily he wouldn't. But he felt obligated to, for some odd reason or another, and he sighed as he rolled on his bed, quite confused.
Maybe it was because he had finally gotten the hang of his spikes? Maybe.

Hinata appeared in the doorway, finally dressed.
"I'm out." He said, biting his lip.
"Finally." Kageyama said, rolling his eyes.
Hinata smirked slightly.
"What?" Kageyama growled.
"Your face looks less dumb than usual." Hinata said.
"Was that a compliment?" Kageyama narrowed his eyes.
"No. That was an insult." Hinata said sassily.

Kageyama rolled his eyes and walked past the short boy.
"You're not going to comment on that?" Hinata looked at him.
"No. Because you're a loser." Kageyama smirked slightly.
"Comment on it! I have a lot more comebacks!"
"No." Kageyama said, walking downstairs.
He poured some cereal.

Hinata eventually rolled downstairs, because Kageyama's parents were at work or something.
"Miss me?" He smiled sassily.
"No." Kageyama begins to eat the cereal, staring at Hinata.
The boy rolled his eyes.
"I'm leaving." He said quietly.
"See you there." Kageyama dismissed.

Hinata opened the door, and headed out. It was nice weather, a bit cold, but who could complain?
A breeze past, and he sighed.
He regretted leaving.
He couldn't really go back, though.

And why Kageyama?
He could've called Suga, or Daichi, or someone else. He figured it was maybe because Kageyama had...what had he done for him, again? Nothing, that he could remember. He helped him get better at volleyball, if that counted.

But he remembered what happened after the fight.
He had texted Kageyama without even thinking, like it was instinct.
But now he was at Kageyama's, and everything was better than expected.

He finally headed into the gym, and spotted Tsukki, Suga and Tanaka.
He figured they were the only ones who had shown up early.
"Hinata!" Suga called him over, and he bounded to the group.
"Hi, Suga!" He smiled.
"Where's Kageyama?" Suga asked, looking around.
"Oh, he's at his house. I just came back from there." He answered.
"Kageyama? More like KaGAYama!" Tsukki interjected, earning a slap on the back of the head from Suga.

"Hmm?" Hinata glanced at Suga, who was blushing. Tsukki rubbed the back of his head.
"There's a difference between sleeping over and sleeping over." Suga explained, sighing.
"Oh, like you with Daichi?" Tsukki said.

Suga blushed even more, if that was possible.
"No, it wasn't like that!" Hinata yelled.
Tanaka sighed, and bit his lip.
Hinata rolled his eyes.
"I don't want to explain it, but for the time being I'm staying with Kageyama. It isn't a big deal." He brushed off.
"Riiiight." Tsukishima said, rolling his eyes.

"Tsukishima. Go run some laps or something." Suga said, taking the position of power, since Daichi wasn't there. The blonde rolled his eyes and ran.

"Anyways, Hinata, you can tell us anything." Tanaka said, putting a hand on his shoulder.
"We're not in a relationship..."
He said softly, biting his lip.

"Alright." Suga said.
"Don't say it like that!" Hinata pleaded to Suga.
"Why are you so defensive, Hinata?" Suga asked, chuckling.
Hinata stopped for a second, and widened his eyes.

Why did he feel the need to be so defensive?

"I'm not being defensive!" He yelled.
"You're currently being defensive, and you need to lower your tone."
"Mom logic." Tanaka said, and high fived Suga.
The silver haired boy rolled his eyes, and Kageyama walked in.

"Hey," he said to the group. He sat down along with them.
"Hi, Kageyama." Tanaka said, biting his nail.
He didn't reply.
"Anyways, Hinata, you've been improving." Suga said.
"Thanks, Suga!" Hinata beamed.
"Daichi should be here soon...he said he would.." Tanaka said, and Suga looked around, trying to find the captain.
"He doesn't usually come early, Tanaka." Suga answered.
The other two did, sometimes.

"So, Kageyama." Tsukki had finished his laps.
"Yes, Tsukishima?" Kageyama answered.
"Did you sleep with Hinata?"
"NO!" Kageyama shouted, blushing. He glanced at Hinata angrily.
"Well, that's not what he said." Tsukki stalked off, angry at having to run.

Suga rolled his eyes.
"He didn't say that.."
Kageyama relaxed a little, biting his lip.
"What did he say, exactly?"
"That he spent the night at your house. I'm going to go get a drink of water." Tanaka said, getting up.

"I want to know why Hinata spent the night, and I want to know now." Suga said, rather calmly.
"It's not even any of your business!" Hinata said.
"If you guys happen to get in a fight, it'll lower our performance, because last time I checked, both of you rely on each other." Suga said, rolling his eyes.
"Suga. I didn't-" he sighs. "Hinata and I didn't do anything. Seriously, are friends not allowed to stay at each other's houses?" Kageyama said.
"I-you're right..." Suga sighs.
"Exactly." Hinata backs up Kageyama.
"Anyways, I'm sorry. Just don't do anything stupid, alright?" The silver haired boy flashed a tired smile.

"Kageyama! Pass to me!" Hinata got up and threw a volleyball at him, and Kageyama stood up.
"Dumbass." He said, walking to the short boy.

"Hi, Suga." Daichi finally showed up, sliding into the seat by Suga.
"Hey.." He said, biting his lip.
"What's up?"
"Something's bothering Hinata." Suga said, concentrating.
"How so?" Daichi looked at the boy.

"He's thinking about something." Suga said.
Daichi nods. "But what?"
"For one, him and Kageyama are probably sleeping together." Suga said, after a long pause.
"And how do you know that?" Daichi chortled.
"Because look at how Hinata looks at Kageyama. It's like, 'Oh, there you are.'" The boy answered, looking at him.
"I suppose you're right, Suga."
