This is in Annie's point

RINGGGGGGGGGG!!!!

I grabbed all my books that I had and went to my locker, which is right next to Claire's. I put all of my stuff in it and took out my practice clothes just as Claire walked by I motioned her over to me and whispered, "I have to go meet Matthew for a minute before practice." And Claire being the sarcastic butthole she is cupped her hands around her mouth and screamed so that everyone could hear her, "WHAT? YOU HAVE TO GO MEET YOUR SECRET BOY-" I clamped my hand over her mouth so fast I thought my arm was going to fly off. I say, "Claire, I swear if you ever do that again I will kill you in your sleep."

And for anyone asking, no Matthew and I are not a couple.

Claire wiggled her eyebrows, put a smirk on her face and said, "Don't have too much fun." Claire is an idiot but she's my best friend. As I turned on my heel she called out, "I NEED THE DETAILS WHEN YOU GET BACK!" And with that I walked out the door to the baseball fields.

3 more yards to the field. You can do this Annie.

2 yards. I'm dying on the inside.

1 yard. I'm dying on the outside I'm sure.

I'm here. Deep breaths Annie, deep breaths.

I slowly walk to the edge of the gates and look over.

Empty.

I checked my phone for the time. It was 3:30. I was actually on time, and Matthew is always early.

I wish I could say that this isn't like him to do this kind of thing, but I don't know what's gotten into him. He's not the same guy I fell head over heels for the first time I laid eyes on him in kindergarten.

I could feel the tears start to form in my eyes. I quickly wiped them away with the back of my hand, just in case someone was watching me from behind.

I sprinted to the gym and got changed for practice. I need to forget about the whole Matthew thing. My last game of junior year volleyball is Thursday. I have to get my head in the game, but my heart's just not helping me right now.

It's 5:59 when we get out of practice and do the awkward jog/walk that you do when you cross the street and there's a car waiting straight to my car so I could avoid running into Matthew after he got out of practice.

I really didn't want to speak with him at the moment.
I pulled out my phone to text him, but it looks like he beat me to it.

👑 - Annie
🍐 - Matthew
❤️- Annie's thoughts

🍐- hey sorry about today... Got caught up in practice😳

👑- don't worry about it

🍐- u ok? Let me make it up to you. Wanna have a movie night?

👑- can't... tons of homework and game day is coming up gotta rest.

❤️-Ugh, I don't even have homework. Just leave me alone!

🍐- oh ok. I know something's up just tell me plz

I didn't answer because I felt like I would get dragged into a huge conversation about how I need to tell him the truth so that we can be better friends and I just wasn't up for that right now so I just drove home.

I could not stop thinking about the whole baseball field thing. I tried to get my mind off of it so I got on tumblr and scrolled through my feed which mostly consists of your basic tumblr girl photography.  Then I got on YouTube and watched the weirdest crap I could find. I still couldn't stop thinking about Matthew so I got on Netflix and watched some Grey's Anatomy but nothing worked so I finally just let myself go to sleep.

OHHHHH AND HE DOESN'T EVEN SHOW UP! PLOT TWIST! Sorry, not sorry but seriously guys we have a grey's addict on our hands. So add this to your reading list, vote, and comment what you think about Claire! Thank you!
