Dan's POV
-
Phil took a brownie and happily ate it while I cleaned up the mess I made. I hadn't slept all night....but it looked like Phil hadn't either. His hair was a mess, his shirtless body showed marks from his bed sheets as if he tossed and turned all night.
"Are you okay?" I asked him.
"Yes, why wouldn't I be?" "I wasn't looking for an answer such as that."
"You look exhausted. Did you stay up all night?"
He sat down in the lounge, his head in his hand as he turned on the television. "I couldn't sleep."
"He did. He stayed up. Poor Phil.. I hope he didn't stay up because of.. The thing."
I sat down by him and took the remote.
"Hey!" He snapped. I turned off the television and gave Phil a serious look.
"I know that look.." He got quiet. "You want to talk."
"Yes. I think we need to talk...."

Phil's POV
-
"This can't be good.."
"Are you feeling ill?" Dan placed his hand on my forehead. "Is this about my sleeping issues? Or is it something else..?"
"No, I've been feeling...o-o-okay." I stuttered, too nervous to try admit to why I was acting unusual.
I smiled at Dan, a sweet smile to make him feel better about everything.
"I love...that." He said, blushing and looked away.
"What?" I asked.
He looked back at me. "Your smile." I felt my face get hot. "Maybe I am just ill. This could just be some bad food I ate Tuesday. Or I'm just trying to deny what I'm trying to understand."
"Thanks... Dan." I smiled. I reached for the remote he held in his hand. Our hands touched again... But this time I didn't pull away. He didn't either. He just smiled and laughed it off, as if it was no big deal... When it was a huge deal for me. This is the guy I met after being on YouTube for a while, uploading videos. This is the guy I moved in with after he became my best friend.
I turned the television back on and we watched our usual morning show while on Tumblr. Dan scooted closer to me to show me a post one of our fans tagged him in. It was a Phan gif. I wanted to watch it, but I couldn't help myself. I was distracted. His hair brushed against my shoulder as he leaned in to show me his screen. I watched him smile a hundred times, but this smile was different. This smile was new. A smile a person would make when they are completely comfortable with someone. I laughed at the gif and he looked at me, smiling still.

Dan's POV
-
"His laugh... His smile. I can't be thinking like this. I've never come out. I told my old friends I was bisexual.... But those were my friends from primary school. Not my roommate."

I looked at him. I couldn't help but just stare at his perfection. His shirtless body was warm as I leaned in to show Phil more posts our fans tagged us in on Tumblr. He kept smiling. I thought he was smiling at the screen of my laptop, but he was smiling at me.
