September 26, 2011: BAU Headquarters Quantico, VA: 6:40: Day 1

“Good morning my lovelies” Garcia greeted as six people walked through the bull point and to the meeting room.

“What is so good about waking at this ungodly hour?” Prentiss replied, with three other people grumbling an agreement with her statement.

Among the three was our very own agent Derek Morgan. He is what most would describe as tall, dark, and devilishly handsome. He was definitely a ladies’ man and a total tease with the tight shirts and pants that he always wear, showing off all the muscle he has from chasing unsubs and teaching the FBIs self-defense classes.

But not this morning when he’s pulled from his warm and comfortable bed because some unsub couldn’t keep their killing intention to themselves.

“Okay grumpy pants settle down. We have a case and this one is a bad one.” Garcia said with a grimace on her face.

“We have three dead bodies in the last two weeks in Georgia. All three victims were college students attending the University of Georgia. The first victim was, Amanda Jones, a freshman majoring in business, the second victim was Tracy Darwin, a junior also majoring business, and our last was Denise Turner, a freshman majoring in nursing.”

“Did you know that Ted Bundy was a notorious serial killer from 1974 to 1978? He was a handsome, educated psychopathic law student who stalked and murdered dozens of young college women who looked very much like a young woman who broke off her relationship with him.”  Reid said, taking a sip from his coffee. He and Garcia were the only two who didn’t seem sleepy and grumpy.

“Well, this unsub might have a type, they are all female, looks to be in their early teens and early twenties.” JJ said as she was flipping through the crime scene photos.

“Buts he’s not picky about the race. The first and third victim was African-American and the second victim was Mexican.” Prentiss said.

“He’s also sloppy. These crime scenes show that he found some way to force them to a secluded area, and then shoot them twice at close range, leaving them bleeding out” Rossi said

“He’s not a pro. His shooting were armature. See, the first shot in the first victim was near the heart, but he missed so he might have gone closer for a second shot, this time hitting the heart. It’s the same for the second victim.” Morgan said, pointing at the crime scene photos

“He’s quickly advancing, let’s stop him before we have a pro on our hand. Wheels up in 20” Hotch said.

7:10 on the Jet:

“Okay, let go over a preliminary profile.” Hotch said.

“We know he’s an armature at shooting, but is educated enough to use suppressor to keep the noise down. But it looks to me that he’s not killing them for the power or to abuse them.” Morgan said

“It looks like he shoots them as quickly as he can and leaves the crime scene, but at the same time, he wants his victim to lie in their own pool of blood.” Prentiss adds on

“He’s not a sadist; he does not enjoy the kill. Garcia, do the three victims have anything in common?” Rossi asked while everyone looked on the webcam.

“Nothing, beside the facts that they all attending UGA. Jones and Darwin both commune while Turner lives in the dorm. They do not have any classes together and the closes they might have been to each other is when they walk right by each other without knowing.” She answer as her fingers flew across the computer key board.

“Well, the unsub has to know them somehow, once we find the connection we find him.” Morgan replies.

“Okay, once we land, Rossi, Prentiss and Morgan go to the dump sites since there so close, Reid and JJ you’re with me. We’ll head there and set up.”

Morgan, Rossi, and Prentiss at the latest dumpsite:

“This is his hunting grounds; he didn’t stray too far from the university. Maybe he lives on campus.” Prentiss said.

Looking around the campus, the agents all agreed that it was beautiful. There were trees everywhere surrounding old brick buildings. There was a sense of classical yet modern twist to the campus. However, the campus was massive and that was a problem in their case.

“The security here is certainly lacking, anyone can come in and out the campus without any questioning.”

“It could be. Okay, I’m the unsub and I somehow was able to force you to come with me to this secluded area.” Morgan said as he held his hand out like he’s carrying a gun toward Prentiss.

“When they got here, he pushes her away and shoots.” Rossi continues

“Bang! I shot once and saw that I missed, so this time I got closer and shoot again, Bang! This time not missing” Morgan said as he and Prentiss played out the scenario.  “Then I left.”

“Jones was found in the woods near the lake half a mile from here, a runner was doing her early warm-up run and found the body. Darwin was found on the other side of the lake, this time a group of student was walking trail and saw they body. Now Turner‘s body was deeper in the woods, they only founded her body when a couple of maintenance workers were working on the pluming out here.” Rossi said

“There must be a reason why Turner’s body was hidden better than the first two. The unsub left the bodies in secluded areas, but knew that the bodies could be found.  Maybe he wanted to strike fear into the student body here.” Prentiss said as she looked at the students that were hanging around the crime scene.

“If that’s the case, he certainly did so. Let go back the station and see what Hotch and them found.”  Morgan said as they all left the crime scene.

Police Station:

The station was a busy place when Morgan, Rossi, and JJ returned to report their findings.

“What did you find out at the dump sites?” Hotch asked as soon as he saw the three agents coming through the door.

“We think that he might live on campus.” Rossi said

“The unsub hunting ground is in the school campus, all the dump site are within half a mile of each other.”Reid replied as he was drawing up a geographical map.

“We also think that there was something significant with the third victim, Turner. He seems to be conscious enough to hide her body deeper in the woods as appose to the first two victims, they were much easier to find.”  Prentiss said.

Just then there was a knock on the door and a police officer informs the team, “We found another body.”
