I was just sitting here pondering how or why God chooses to use the folks that He does. And of course Paul (formerly known as Saul) came to mind. This dude Paul, God literally chose him while he was yet on his way to find, bound and deliver to authorities, anyone claiming to be a Christian (Acts 9). Paul was initially a MESS. But God took Paul's mess and turned it into a MESSAGE! Paul lived on to become one of the greatest apostles and the author of many of the books in the New Testament.
You gotta give it to God~He has a cooky sense of humor sometimes. He took a man who was a persecuter of Christians and turned him into a person who was WILLING to be a persecuted Christian. It's rather brilliantly hilarious!
