I couldn't - Phillip

I couldn't come home. Simply because there was no way I could hide any of my expression or body language from Tiffany. The last thing I need right now is birthday sex.

I stayed in my office and told Emma to just lock the doors. Tiffany wouldn't have the keys to my office so I'll just say I was tired after today's session. She'll get very mad at me but I won't care.

It took me much longer to realize how much I terribly want to see Erica again. It's been too soon when she left. I wanted to melt in her chocolate eyes one last time but she wouldn't look into mine. I knew there was no hop of having to see her ever again. But I don't need her back. I have Tiffany and I'm very happy with how things have turned with Tiffany. She's made me such a happy person. But Erica was the first person I was in a serious relationship with. It all started on August 2006.

August 2006
Freshman Year at Yale and the team was already my home. I was already in a "fraternity" of a sort. They accompanied me to this party to officially welcome the freshmen. It was hosted by most of the seniors who still cared about the legacy they handed over to us. Chad, captain of the basketball team, was supposed to initiate me that night to officially welcome me to the team. It involved me catching a football thrown by Chad's twin who was captain of the football team. Crazy, huh? He threw the ball so far and I had to run as fast as I can to the seaside to catch it. It was about to touch the ground until I jumped and fell into the sea. Upon my descent, I didn't realize I hit someone. Out of the people in the beach I could have hit, it was my crush. Erica Miller. Now, if you were at my school you would ask me "You're the most popular kid in the year and you have a crush on a complete nobody?" Yea, it didn't really make that much sense to me either but it was when I saw her that made me feel something. We both stood up from the water and everybody started laughing and I almost laughed until I glanced at her. She had tears in her eyes amidst all that salt water. I couldn't let her suffer such humiliation in front of so many people because of me. I dragged her out of the crowd and ushered her to the campus to her apartment. She made me enter and luckily she did because I would have froze outside. I waited for her to get out of the shower before apologizing. Her eyes were like milk chocolate. I stepped closer to her to take a better look. They were shaped like almonds. I asked if she had a boyfriend. She hesitated and that was good enough for me. I leaned in and kissed her.
