I never thought this would happen. I never thought I would be confronting her. It was never a correct decision to be outside her house now. I didn't even dress up. Why did I bring flowers? That guy downstairs surprised me when he actually gave me Erica's room number.

Then I knocked.

"Hi!"
"What are you doing here?"
"I came to apologize for yesterday"
"And you brought flowers?" I shrugged.
"What about Tiffany?"
"Can I come in first?"
"Yea, have a seat."

I took the seat nearest to the front door. Everything looked the way I imagined it to look when I left. A broken down apartment. Pastel mint coloured walls. A light birch ceiling that complimented the simplicity of everything in the apartment. Everything was just so simple it was perfect.

I remembered every lesson in college where we'd get to give design ideas and make the most of our budget. Erica was the most resourceful person I knew. There was nothing that could stop her from being her simple self. Every project she handed up was the envy of the whole class. It was so simple it appeared so grand.

"Hungry?"
"No, I'm fine I got breakfast on the way here," I handed her the tulips. She smiled when she looked at it. Then her smile faded away too suddenly. She caught me staring, I thought. "Is there a problem?"
"Of all flowers, you gave me tulips? I sincerely hope you're not trying to win me back with these."
"I-I'm not Erica. It's just that I'm trying to make you happy. I just want to bury the past. Accept it please," I said as she extended her hand for me to take back the flowers.
"It's not your job to make me happy, Phillip. And if there isn't anymore intention to your visit, I'll need you to get out before I'll get security to escort you out from trespassing."
"The place is a dump Erica. You're in bad shape and I know I'm not a significant part of your life anymore. But I meant something to y-"
"I know you were significant! But you wiped everyting away when you never actually took the time to consider the most important decision of my life. I had a family which needed me more than you do. You have Tiffany. And now you should be happy with your life. SECURITY!"
"Erica-" I heard them coming up the stairs. "but I'm not."
"Sir, you have to leave," they said already behind me.
"Erica, you-"
"Sir, we need you to leave now," they were already pulling my arm to the stairs.
"You're my infinite."
"Sir, I'm calling the police."

"That won't be necessary officer, I'm already on my way," I shook their grip off my arm and went downstairs to where my white Ferrari 458 spider was parked. I drove it back home, preparing myself for whatever Tiffany was going to say.

"I was calling you last night," she started. "It always rang once, Phillip."
"Tiffany, I don't really care if you're scared for me because as of now, I think you're not giving me any space to do what I want."
"Phil, if you wanted to visit her you could have told me, at least."
"Her name is Erica," I said through gritted teeth. Then I stormed back out the front door.

She looked at me with the most beautiful eyes a guy could ever see. I was not even paying attention to the movie we were watching. I was just trying to catch glimpses of her eyes.
"Phil, stop looking at my eyes," she said catching my stare.
"I can't help it, they're-" she smiled. "Beautiful."
She elbowed my stomach. The credits started rolling.
"There you have it. We have finally ended all eight harry potter movies."
"And how do you feel?"
"Happy that I'm here to share this moment with you." I took her under my arm and we lay on her coach. She already found a comfortable spot. I was still sitting at my usual spot near the door. I think she was about to fall asleep when I told her "Erica-"
She groaned.
"You're my infinite."
