just saying this is kinda a long chapter compared to what mine usually are, wanted to point that out before you start but continue ((:
Yoongi
After walking back inside the shop and settling back into the same routine, the atmosphere felt similar. That was up until the one of the two boys that had been hiding in the back together, (doing only god knows what) appeared in front of them.
"Yoongs- what kind of food do you want? Jin is sending me out to get dinner for us."
"Joon, stop calling me that- and I'm not that hungry, just the usual drink."
He conversed while maintaining full concentration.
"K got it- what about you?"
Yoongi then let his eyes wander up and his hands stop for a moment. He saw that Namjoon was asking Hoseok.
"Oh- I don't want you to buy anything for me-"
Namjoon waved his hand down once, giving Hoseok a look indicating he didn't care.
"Nah, it's all good, I got you- you can have anything you want."
"Hmm.. then a black coffee doesn't cost a lot, if you feel like buying that, then that would be great."
Namjoon smiled once, lips sealed, but so wide his eyes resembled crescent moons.
"Awesome, I'll get it- and cool tattoo, by the way."
Yoongi and Hoseok both in sync let out a, "thank you," causing them both to chuckle softly towards one another.
The creaking door opening and closing afterward meant that the two were once again alone. But now, the only other employee in this shop had nothing to do in this hour, so Yoongi heard the familiar voice of the other boy soon enough.
"Hey Yoongi- oh that looks really good so far! Who are you?"
Yoongi could vaguely see Jin make himself comfortable in one of the empty chairs in the small room the three were in.
"Hoseok."
"Oh, cute- I'm Jin. I like your tattoo, is that your first one?"
"Yeah, I'm not sure if I'll get more, maybe if I decide I really like something and come up with a nice design for it."
Jin nodded, understanding Hoseok's statement.
"I was like that too, and then I kept deciding I wanted more and more as I kept getting them. Unlike Yoongi, I always remember him saying he wanted millions of them before he had any."
A smirk unknowingly crept onto Yoongi's lips as he replayed the memories through his mind, ones he felt were from forever ago.
"Wow, so you guys have known each other for a long time then?"
Yoongi answered first, with the old memories fresh in his mind.
"Yeah, us and Namjoon go all the way back, since childhood."
Hoseok gave off a sweet smile, raising Yoongi's heart rate at the slightest.
"That's like- goals."
The said long-term friends laugh in unison before Jin spoke up first, still keeping a smile plastered on his face.
"Yeah, it's pretty nice to have all of us together even after all this time-"
As if on cue, the third friend walked back inside the shop.
"Yo- I got food and drinks-"
Yoongi observed Jin get up from his seat to get the bag containing food, and see Namjoon holding the iced green tea he always craves for, and one coffee cup for Hoseok.
"Yeah, we're a little busy Namjoon, can you bring the drinks over here?"
Yoongi talks while looking back down at the butterfly he had been adding color to on the tattoo. Promptly, he could hear the sound of the ice cubes swishing through the liquid of his drink next to him.
"Thanks Joon-"
"Yupp-"
With a few moments of silence, both Jin and Namjoon walked out of the room, leaving the room in a still silence, but one that Yoongi didn't mind.
"Finally- god I didn't think they would leave."
Hoseok allowed a breathy laugh as he spoke.
"What? They were fine when we talked to them."
"Yeah, I love them to death, but sometimes they get annoying when they interrupt me for a long time."
Yoongi could see Hoseok nod once as a nonverbal response. The room became filled with the same silence again, with the exception of backround music and the buzzing of the needle putting the final touches on the tattoo.
"Alright- I think I'm done."
Hoseok glanced down at the tattoo after it was wiped for the last time to rid of the blood that covered it. Yoongi watched his reaction as he disposed of his gloves and began putting his supplies away.
"It looks- like way better than I thought, I love it."
Yoongi always felt proud when someone smiled at his work, but it felt special to him when Hoseok said "I love it." He felt almost accomplished that Hoseok was satisfied.
He brought Hoseok to the front of the shop after wrappping his tattoo in plastic wrap and giving him a list of instructions on how to let it heal. Hoseok handed an amount of money over the counter. As Yoongi handed the change back, he felt his last chance, and had the small internal conflict with himself before deciding to take it.
"Hoseok- do you maybe wanna hang out sometime?"
The moment the words spilled out of his mouth, his heart beat increased and he fought with himself whether he regret saying that.
"Yeah, that would be nice- do you want my number?"
Yoongi felt his cheeks start heating up but refused to let himself blush so hard. He bit his lip to refrain himself.
"Uh- yeah, here."
He slid a notepad and pen towards him and watched him write before Hoseok set the pen back down and met eye contact with Yoongi.
"Text me."
"I will, see you soon, hopefully."
"See you too... hopefully."
Yoongi watched Hoseok leave, hearing the creak of the door open and close, the same smile still playing across his face.
"You're so into him-"
"Jin, shut the hell up."
