Hoseok

It had been approximately seven minutes since a needle had continually been poking his skin, and Hoseok was counting every minute of it. The pain was only minor, but he was more afraid of what could go wrong.

What if the needle slips somehow? What if the needle presses too hard? What if I end up getting allergic?

Now, he knew that his accusations were a little "over-the-top," and he put some amount of trust into Yoongi himself, but he was still nervous nonetheless. Even Hoseok could tell that Yoongi was able to see the fear slowly radiating off him. He tried as hard as possible, (if possible) to mask it. So far he wasn't doing a terrible job. He felt that he could scream and shake at any of the given moments that he was still counting. But, he instead kept himself contained for his own sake.

"You doing good?"

Yoongi was still concentrated on the piece of artwork when Hoseok took a glance towards him after he spoke.

"Yeah."

"How's it feel?"

"Okay...it kinda hurts but I can handle it."

Yoongi's uplifting beam gave Hoseok a single heart skip.

"That's good- we can take a break about halfway if you want."

Hoseok never felt so relieved.

"Yeah- that would be- like- great-"

He allowed himself an infinitesimal laugh as he saw Yoongi's smirk playing onto his thin lips. Hoseok let his gaze stay glued onto Yoongi's figure. The two stayed like that in silence for a period. It was Yoongi that had broke the stillness, not including the complimentary classic rock music playing quietly throughout the small shop.

"So how old are you?"

Hoseok almost flinched due to two reasons: he had been staring at the silver-haired boy for the past ten minutes and was afraid he had been caught, and also gets startled way too easily.

"Oh- uhm, I'm 22."

Yoongi let a genuine, sweet smile plaster across his face.

"That's nice- I know you filled it out in the paperwork, but I see so many papers, I just forget."

Hoseok mirrored the same genuine smile Yoongi had.

"Ah, I get it... so how old are you?"

He watched Yoongi's cheeks flush a bright pink.

"I'm 24."

Hoseok wasn't so sure of Yoongi's age before, but just to know of the older male now made him feel a sense of joy, like he was almost hoping he was going to be older. But that left his mind to much curiosity, like what had Yoongi been doing at Hoseok's age?

"So did you go to school after high school or no?"

Yoongi let out an audible sigh, making Hoseok bite his tongue and wonder if he shouldn't have asked that question.

"Well, I did for two years before deciding that the money and time wasn't worth it for me. I didn't really fit the college life I guess."

Hoseok nodded, in empathy. For being in college for over three years, going on his last as of now, he felt like he knew the college life more than anyone.

"Yeah I can't decide what's worse, eating a diet based on sodium, or drowning in student loans."

This time Yoongi had grinned widely, enough to show his famous "gummy smile," as his co-workers like to call it. Hoseok had found it utterly adorable. But as soon as he caught himself in the trance, he snapped himself back to reality.

"True, you're a real trooper to be able to go through all that."

"Frick yeah, I can't wait till it's all over."

"Frick?"

"Mhm-"

"Why say that?"

"Cause I'm trying this thing where I swear less because I swear too much."

"Ah- okay..."

"...Yoongi stop laughing-"

"Sorry, I just don't hear grown men say frick."

"Got a problem with that?"

"Frick no."

"Okay good, then can we take a break now? My arm is gonna like- fall off or something."

"Of course-"

"Heck yes-"

"Oh god-"

except idk if the end part got confusing for you, like can you tell who's talking with just the dialogue there or no ?? bc if you have trouble just tell me and I'll fix that whole ending part, throwing some thoughts and shit in there and all that good stuff

other than that I thought it was a-ok

im just having a phase where i really like saying frick and heck all the time idk
