I work night shift at a hospital.
I'm a nurse.
Tonight, the hospital is deserted.
Usually, I would hear the sound of the bell from patient's room when they are asking for something.

Suddenly, the bell sound from room 313 was heard.
I walked in front of the door and knock, there is no sound.
I asked what they want, and still there is no sound.

I walk back to my chair, feeling angry over the prank.
Not long after, the bell was heard again.
I quickly walked inside with the spare key in my hand to confront the patient.

I saw that the bed was neat and tidy. The sheets are still clean, not crumpled one bit.
The sound of flushing was heard from inside the toilet.
I asked what the patient want, and a pale hand pointed to a cane on the edge of the bed.

I walked out from the room after seeing the patient, that turns out to be an old woman with a thin body coming out from the bathroom. I could see her back clearly, but her face remains vague.

The next morning, after my shift ended.
I chatted with my colleague, a senior nurse.

" So, how was the shift? Was it scary? Luckily, the corpse room is on the upper floor. " She laughed.

" It is fine, actually. I am still new but I am pretty glad that I could serve a patient. " I brag happily. This has been my dream job since a kid.

" Really, what room? " She asked, wearing her name tag.

" Room 313. " I smiled. " I heard the bell sound from her room. No one answered, then after a second call, she asked for my help. And, I saw an old woman, she didn't say much. And she looked pale. " I shrugged.

" Huh? You must be imagining things. The previous patient that lived in room 313, died the night before your shift. Apparently, she has a mental illness. So, I am pretty sure it is empty. "

After closing the door of my locker, I found myself looking in the room, to see a broken bed, dirty sheet, and a cane on the edge of bed.
