"Greg?" I asked, my voice cracking.

"Hey Addie." Greg was my best friend who moved to Europe around two years ago. I pulled him into a huge bear hug.

"God, I've missed you." The familiar smell of his axe cologne filled my nostrils. I really missed this smell.

"I missed you, too." I smiled and let him go.

"Come in!" I was beyond excited to see him. "Want something to drink?"

"Yeah, what do you have?" I walked over to the fridge and opened it to see some coke and milk.

"Coke?" I asked. He nodded so I got out two. I opened the can and gave him one.

"So, how ya been?"

"Pretty good but why are you back?"

"I didn't like Europe. It's definitely nothing like the brochure." I laughed and he joined in. I forgot how much I missed his laugh.

Time flew by as we caught up with each other.

"God I forgot how handsome you are." He nervously laughed at my compliment.

"And I forgot how gorgeous you were." I looked directly into his eyes and smiled. Greg was attractive. I leaned in, Greg following until our lips met.

I froze. Luke. I'm cheating on Luke.

"Uh, what's wrong?" Greg asked.

"We can't do this."

"What? Why?"

"Because I have a boyfriend." I jumped off the couch.

"What?! You have a boyfriend?!" Greg yelled. I winced at his harsh tone but I deserved it.

"I'm sorry."

"No. I'm outta here." He grabbed his phone before storming out. I heard the front door slam and that's when I began crying. I did what Luke did. I'm a horrible person.

"Addie?" He asked, his voice laced with concern. "Do you want to talk about it?" I shook my head no before getting out of my bed and going downstairs to find my dads keys. I had to tell him.

I got into my car and pulled out of the drive way. I began the hour drive to Luke's apartment. The ride was silent. I turned off the music and the only sound was my silent sobs.

I finally pulled up to his apartment and that's when I began to hyperventilate. I slowly opened my door and headed up to his floor. I knocked on the door. No answer. I knocked slightly harder. The door flew open to see an adorable and newly woken Luke.

"Ads?" He rubbed his eyes to make sure he was seeing right.

"Hey, can I come in?" He nodded and I walked past him. "We need to talk."

"Okayyyyy?"

"Let's sit." He nodded and walked over to the couch with me.

"What's wrong?" He seemed genially concerned.

"I cheated on you."

"What?" His face paled and his eyes were filled sadness.

"I'm so sorry." I began crying. "This is not an excuse but I wasn't thinking straight. My best friend, Greg, was over and one thing led to another..." I trailed off. "We just kissed." I watched relief flush through his body.

"When?"

"Earlier tonight." He winced but smiled. "Why are you smiling?"

"Because I forgive you. You're sorry and you know that you made a mistake. It takes a lot of courage to admit you're wrong and you did that. You came to me."

"I love you," I whispered.

"I love you more."
