"Knock knock," I whispered as I opened my door. I walked in carrying my bag from target with two pints of ice cream. "Hey."
"Hi," Carson sniffled.
"How'd it go?" I asked, handing her the pint of Ben and Jerry's phish food ice cream I bought her.
"Okay, I guess," she replied, shrugging her shoulders.
"What do you mean?" She went into detail about how she and Cameron weren't really over; the whole breaking up part was just something that slipped out of his mouth. She forgave him but told him that she wanted space. "I totally agree," I stated. She looked at me with confusion sketched on her face. "About the space thing," I continued with a mouth full of chunky monkey ice cream. "It only makes sense."
"Oh," she smiled.
"But over all, how are you feeling?"
"Better- enough about me. How are things with you and Luke?"
"Good," I said truthfully.
"Did you talk to him?"
"Yeah- I may have gone over there to talk to him."
"What happened?"
"Well-" I began with explaining to her how things were weird earlier when I got home and how he was acting suspicious. Then I went into how I went over to his apartment and he called me Rachel and then she showed up and then stormed out after being told by Luke to leave. Carson found that amusing.
"But that's the problem." Her laughter immediately stopped.
"What?! What do you mean?"
"We aren't healthy," I frowned.
//
"Chinese take out or pizza?" Luke asked. I was currently snuggled up on Luke's couch while he contemplated what to order for dinner.
"Ooooh- Chinese takeout!" I yelled.
"Chinese take out it is." He dialed the number while I put on 'Catch Me If You Can.' Luke walked into the living room and plumped down onto the couch next to me. I immediately nestled my head into his neck and his arm went around my waist.
"You freaking jerk!" We heard the front door slam.
"I'll be right back," Luke whispered before getting up and going into the kitchen. Luke lived with one of his good friends, Ashton Irwin.
I wasn't trying to eves drop but I couldn't help but want to know what was happening.
"Dude, you good?" I heard Luke ask.
"NO!" Ashton yelled. "Its Briana."
"Oh god, what did she do this time?" Luke sighed.
"She, oh god how do I even start. She- oh," Ashton had made his way into the living room and made eye contact with me.
"Hey Ashton," I smiled sheepishly.
"Hey Addie," he rubbed his hand on the back of his neck. "I'll uh... I'll be in my room." And with that he left. Luke made his way back over to me.
"Is he okay?"
"Yeah, he will be just fine." He grabbed my cheeks and squished my lips together.
"What are we watching?"
"Catch Me If You Can," Luke annoyingly answered.
Around twenty minutes later, there was a knock on the door. "I got it," I smiled. I got up and walked over to the door, grabbing my wallet.
"No," Luke's hand grabbed my wallet and he put a twenty in my hand before following me to the door. I happily opened it to be faced with a rather attractive boy. He looked to be around nineteen.
"Your total is $16.23," He smiled. Luke handed him the twenty while putting his left hand around his back and holding my hand. He grabbed the food in his other hand.
"Keep the change," he muttered before closing the door in the guys face.
"Got any extras?" Ashton asked, peeking over my shoulder and stealing an egg roll.
"Hey!" I called out.
"Get your nasty hands outa here!" Luke laughed. Ashton stole a piece of chicken before I slapped his arm and he ran off, laughing like a child.
